Why are we still giving games to Claye Beams? Surely he's done at end of the year!

Well I take it you never played in the backline... when you are playing on a bigger opponent you cant play him body on body, he will simply stand his ground and out mark you. So you have to give him a bit of latitude to give yourself a chance to have a running jump at the spoil...which also gives you a chance to cut of the lead.. Sometimes he goes another way to what you anticipated and he gets the jump on you. If the delivery is good, nothing you can do about it.. If Schofield had a bad matchup, that's a coaching issue. He got caught out one time quite badly, but apart from that he didn't look to be doing much wrong.

Schofield was dropping off his man by at least 2 metres every time his man got the ball. The passes didn't need to be sublime they had so much time and there was no way Schofield was going to spoil them hanging off by 2 metres.

Freo Rebuild. Ryan Nahuis 21 year old lining up again this week for Peel. Yet Lyon continues to play old over 30 years old non performers Ballantyne and Pearce who if you watch continually fall over chasing and trying to put defensive pressure on to which Ross thinks is great. They just don't have the ability to get to the ball first. Ballantyne has less than 10 disposables in hls last 6 games no scoreboard pressure and nilch in score assists. But on the bright side is the young brigade are performing extremely well

Good Birdy is glad Ben Brown's made a speedy recovery and will play this week, while Bad Birdy wishes he had a week on the sidelines just to be sure he's over the concussion......

Dude, in fairness, there seemed to be some confusion down back at times... Schofield and Sheppard seemed to give each other some odd looks... Some of those passes that hit the guy Schofield was playing on were sublime, nobody could have stopped them. Agree on Masten though... he turned the ball over so often he should have made St Kilda's best player list. Priddis back in the side... pity, Jack Redden has really been hitting his straps of late, he will probably be the guy who makes way for the Galapagos Tortoise.

Good to see WCE gave Masten the boot, Schofield as well. He was woeful last week and just mouthed off at team mates for his own failings in defense.

How is Jarmyn Impey still getting a game for Port?, he's done nothing since about round 4, must be one of Ken's favourites.

No Puopolo for Hawks suggests he's trade bait.

Everyone talking about Geelong's outs and what an advantage those are to the Tigers which is true. Geelong's home ground advantage is surely a much bigger advantage to the cats however. Richmond will face a hostile crowd where 95% will be cats supporters and play a team that trains exclusively at the ground. All in all it should be a very tight game, but wouldn't be surprised if the cats prevail. Will be one very ecstatic Tiger supporter if we can come away with the four points though.

Shame about Witherden, but he's definitely shown he has what it takes. Close in for Schache to give us more aggression in the forward line, Close is one of our more maligned players - I've always liked his attitude though, just seems to be skill that lets him down. But he will get amongst it, I will go out on a limb and say Lions 30+, no Ablett - more importantly no Lynch, they're not going to trouble us famous last words
