Another year, another Origin series done.
New South Wales are the happy winners following their incredible 26-20 victory in last night’s Origin decider, capping off a rare comeback series victory from a 1-0 deficit.
There’s far too much footy to be played between now and next June to speculate who comes into the selection frame for next year’s series but, in the immediate aftermath of this year’s series, we can certainly look at who’ll be feeling their spot going forward isn’t safe.
Is Mitchell Pearce’s rep career finally over following his fairytale win? Have New South Wales found themselves a winning nucleus going forward, or should they still be looking to blood youngsters and develop further?
What tough calls do Queensland need to make out of their series loss? Should Kevin Walters, who was very defiant in sticking with his experimental side throughout the series, be feeling the heat at all?
Our Game of Codes Origin special saw Roar NRL expert AJ Mithen jump on the line to discuss the full fallout from this year’s State of Origin series.

I wonder how many former NSW coaches that coached during QLD's decade of dominance wouldn't mind having a crack with the current crop of players.

Plus he was always trying to milk penalties that were never on at this level. Close to the worst player on the field. Have never rated him and don't understand what the selectors see in him.

Taliko, Cam Smith will still be playing, this time next year unless something unforeseen happens. Can't see the Storm giving him "leave" to coach Qld

Mbye never screamed pick me before the series, but especially not out of position! He's played hooker, halves and fullback, yet they put him at centre... He's not a bad utility option, but we desperately need to find some centres for next years series. Even Chambers is past his best.

Because locky and Smith aren’t coaches… Being able to do something to a high level doesn’t mean you can coach others to do that.

Looking at the replay I noticed this also. If Mybe put on a sprint early on he would have been in a position to prevent the last try. He just ended up being a spectator .

JUST GET RID OF THE OLD COACH!!!!...This coach is out of touch with the style of coaching needed these days. Why wouldn't QLD appoint Locky or Cam Smith for the coaching role. Has he not seen that Ben hunt just don't run the way Cam does, he should have selected the cowboys 9 for the role. DCE is out of form. M-A-A-N! where is the maroons aggressions in tackles I am used to seeing? Felicity and fifita tackles like girls with no bones. Inside center is not even running through, drawing defenders and passing. All he is doing a one man play hence our wings didn't get any opportunities to score at all.

I have to say that Mbye should have his neck on the block for his part in (or lack of) the winning NSW try alone. His initial positioning, ahead of his teams defensive line is a joke to start with. Then after the ball goes outside him to Ferguson, he basically jogs back when in fact he should have been putting his sprinters boots on (I can only presume that he thought the NSW cover were going to get fergo over the touchline), either way it was abysmal. This all led to him falling over like bambi on ice when Tedesco change day direction immediately before the scoring act.
