Fremantle forward Jesse Hogan will move to a third AFL club with the Dockers agreeing to trade the 25-year-old to Greater Western Sydney.
The Giants and Dockers have already agreed to the switch despite the trade period not commencing until Wednesday.
Fremantle football manager Peter Bell said details of the trade will be finalised soon.
“Following a series of discussions between the club, Jesse and his management it was mutually agreed that it was in Jesse’s best interests to further his playing career by moving away from WA,” Bell said.
“Due to injury and other factors, he was unable to play at the level we all know he is capable of.”
Contracted at the Dockers until the end of next year, Hogan has struggled to live up to expectations after his high-profile move from Melbourne in 2018.
The Dockers were quietly trying to offload the 25-year-old and Hogan looms as a replacement for Jeremy Cameron with the star forward destined to join Geelong.
Hogan has played 19 games with the Dockers, kicking 18 goals, but also spent time in defence this year.
He was traded to the Dockers for draft picks six and 23 after kicking 152 goals from 71 games at Melbourne.
Hogan says he will be “forever in debt” to how Fremantle supported him during struggles with his mental health.
“I wish I was able to contribute a lot more to the football club than I have in my time here,” the two-time Demons leading goalkicker said.
“You will not know how disappointed I am that it didn’t work out the way I hoped it would when I got to come to the Dockers.
“For that I’m sorry, but I leave a team that is on the way up and I wish you all success in the future.”

But that ought not to matter to you as much as it does. You have your own life to live.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, sven, if I were you. You seem so upset by draft talk that you are grumbling about umpiring and what other people think. Here's a suggestion. Free yourself from the opinions of those with whom you disagree. You don't need to perpetuate your anger. If you disengage, you'll be able to think about other things.

u citing injuries makes a change from u blaming the umps for freos lack of success, theres always a reason other than them not being quite good enough it seems…….. tiges won because when it came to the crunch they found a way to deliver (again), thats what champion teams do, but whatever floats your boat don, keep spouting your fantasies, gives us all a laugh

Would of been nice instead of having to apologise now that he turned up for the last training session before his 1st game for the club not stinking of alcohol.

No. Stack was suspended because of a loose club culture.

What does? The Richmond flag was certainly a beneficiary of that this year. I think that's what you're referring to. Hard to work out with this. It is, I thought, a draft conversation. You've made it about umpires? Hard to follow your thinking.

I get it, the players were injured because they had stacks.

Give credit to Hogan for apologising to fans that he was a failure.

Of course we have options. It's a shame we threw away the best of them. In the same way you dismissed Tabs for tears, be prepared to see the others you dismiss also succeed. Logue can play and star down back, up forward, inside mid or outside run. Fyfe is a star. Cox can be anything. Pearce is very versatile. A combination of Sturt, Fyfe, Mundy and, probably Logue, give us such skilled tall flexibility.

You're wrong though. You seem to think Hogan was a dud. He wasn't, as you'll see when he plays with a coach who plays him.

We do have options but none of them other than Tabs are natural forwards. They are all defenders or in Lobbs case a ruckman. Hogan was meant to be the Pavlich replacement we've all been after for years, sadly he's been a complete failure.

I've revisited the trade. We basically sent Neale to Brisbane for 2 first rounders and then sent those 2 first round picks to Melbourne for Hogan. Correct me if I'm wrong but it was practically Neale for Hogan, one won a Brownlow this year, the other barely played a game and is now being on traded for pick 54. You tell me who won out of that trade because it certainly wasn't Freo.

Interesting that you don't apply that same opinion to Liam Ryan at your club...or to Lachie Hunter. They became police matters. A bit more confirmation of wrongdoing with those two. Why don't you argue for them to be dumped?

Hmmmm ..... Hogan .... I reckon the Dockers have got the better of the deal simply by off loading him. Good luck with him GWS.

An elderly motorist pulled onto a 50km suburban road in front of Jesse but Jesse manages to flip his car trying to avoid it. Sounds as believable as Jesse has a great attitude and was a great success for Fremantle. Well done Fremantle to get rid of him he was a massive fail for you guys best to move him on like you are bigger and better things ahead for Fremantle than Jesse and his nonsense.

I'm glad Hogan is staying with Freo. With him fitting in so well and part of the undeniable success Freo have recently shown he'd be stupid not to stay.

That's because they were injured. Not following the footy this season, Spucey?
