'Couldn't organise a root in a brothel': World reacts to Djokovic deportation drama

By The Roar / Editor

News that world number one Novak Djokovic is facing deportation from Australia after his visa was revoked by the government is causing minds to melt across the planet.

Djokovic’s arrival down under was already a point of major controversy, with the divisive 20-time grand slam champion’s earning of a medical exception to play in the Australian Open and remain unvaccinated leading to outrage around the country. However, the latest drama has seen that outrage extend to the rest of the world as well.

Leading the charge is Serbian president Aleksandar Vucic, who posted to his official Instagram account that he had spoken with Djokovic, and will be working with him to ‘stop the harassment of the best tennis player in the world’.

Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has also weighed in on social media, claiming that it is the federal border force who have prevented Djokovic from entering Australia.

However, anonymous Twitter account PRGuy, which has become renowned through the pandemic for its unwavering support of Dan Andrews’ Victorian state government, fired right back, claiming that the federal government had asked for Djokovic to receive an exemption to play the night before, only for it to be knocked back.

Serbian politicians aren’t the only ones coming out in support of Djokovic; Australian basketball great Andrew Bogut, no stranger to controversy in this pandemic either, laying the blame for the situation at the feet of ‘bumbling politicians who couldnt organise a root in a brothel’.

Plenty of other Australians are also apparently on Djokovic’s side: Twitter account Based Serbia’s shared photo of a message of support for the world number one in Queensland has gone viral.

Australian tennis royalty Paul McNamee is also against the treatment of Djokovic, claiming he has been made a scapegoat for his vaccination views and that others are likely in the same boat who have escaped the situation Djokovic finds himself in.

Fellow tennis player Tennys Sandgren, who won’t be participating in the Australian Open as he is both unwilling to be vaccinated or apply for a medical exception, has given the tournament itself both barrels, saying the ongoing situation is proof ‘Australia doesn’t deserve to host a grand slam’.

British far-right YouTuber Paul Joseph Watson, who has been permanently banned from Facebook and Instagram for hate speech, has also come out in support of Djokovic, though it’s doubtful having Watson on his side gives Djokovic’s cause any greater respectability.

However, many have come out in support of the situation, or are seeing the humour in Djokovic having the tables turned on him.

Noted tennis journalist Ben Rothenberg argues that no one other than Djokovic is to blame for the fiasco, saying his choice not to be vaccinated, ‘which he had *months* to do’, is the underlying cause of the situation he finds himself in.

Australian sports comedian Titus O’Reily was quick to note Djokovic is unlikely to find too many supporters for his cause in Australia.

Even controversial British TV host Piers Morgan has supported the Australian government’s stance, Tweeting that the country ‘has the right to chuck him out’ for his visa application.

Flamboyant German tennis player Dustin Brown has also come out against Djokovic, posting that getting vaccinated is a condition of entry into Australia that everyone will simply have to deal with.

Perhaps most concerningly, tennis coach Brad Gilbert used his Twitter to note that Djokovic isn’t the only tennis player set to play at the Open under a medical exemption, which could cause further drama down the road.

My feelings is that it should be a free choice. I have no issue with others taking it. But manipulating the masses via mandates is something I disagree with. I’ve seen the the consequences first hand. It’s not a risk I will take. The data and research has been tampered with. The trial is now. I would keep it simple and ask your body. It will give you a clear answer if you’re prepared to listen. I’m not saying don’t I’m saying choose.

I wish you would take the vaccine, but I respect your honesty and compliance with the law.

How do these idiots blame Djokorvic saying he's not playing by the rules? He didn't come here under false pretenses. Everyone new he wasn't vaxed, and he wasn't going to come, then they offered him an exemption and came here with the understanding that he was allowed in. Only the Australian government changed their mind after he had already flown here and waited locked up in quarantine for half a day because of the media and public fury that he was given special treatment.

Of course you’ll only listen the brain. That’s where the ego comes from. NZ leaders are unvaxed so I “suspect” Australia are the same. All that is, is slowly finding the truth. I don’t make assumptions. But I probably will find out. I wish you well with the vax. Some bodies can handle it others can’t. Some find out immediately others will in 3-5 years.

‘Oh my’ you sound like a goodie two shoe and like to judge. Who calls themself ‘Oh My’? A complete deekhead!! Your writing style (angst, goody goody boy and immature) reveals who you are. I forget your other name you go by. But always popping up like a pimple that one thought had gone. Go for it. I have no issue. I don’t care if you take the jab, that is your business. Perhaps your body can handle it? Keep the boosters up and let’s see. I feel everyone should be allowed to choose. No judgement just do what one wants to do. You’re immature and not very evolved (you can change that course), Oh My so naturally you will follow the sheep believing in dictators who only care about control and profit. “I trust” don’t trust a trial. Like the “Matrix” you can take the red or blue pill. The ego has you, owns you for now …that is why you don’t listen to your heart, feelings and body. Don’t let the ego be stronger than you.

Dr Aseem Malhotra findings were duplicated by a prestigious UK research firm, who chose not to make the findings public due to fear of losing pharmaceutical funding. Dr Malhorta did say these research papers need to be duplicated and I agree. He also said the vax needs to be investigated.

Valid or invalid apparently that is one of the conditions that would allow him an exemption or has allowed others an exemption.

" I personally wouldn’t put something into my body that could kill me" Yet, you probably do it every day with food, alcohol and other vices you may comsume, all which can kill you, slowy or quickly, with higher risk of doing so. The fact you think LSD is not dangerous is quite telling. Again if you have any actual proof that NZ leaders aren't vacinated, please supply it (my guess though it's just one of your "heart" feelings). But then like you said, it's your choice. But in your case, as proven, is an uninformed and quite frankly, a pretty bad one.

Ah, the good old anecdotal evidence. No way to prove or disprove it, but most of the time, has a certain unpleasent smell about it  :stoked: .

I knew you would bring this up sooner or later. The current 'smoking gun' of the anitvax movemnet doing the rounds on twitter and FB at present. But as with most evidence you/they present as 'proof', it has been proven to be seriously misrepresented or just plain wrong. Lets have a look at what Dr Aseem Malhotra actually reported it on GB News on the 25/11/21. During the broacast, Dr Malhotra said while it did report an increase risk, also said the research had to be replicated before it could be even considererd as factual. This is very important, as 80%+ of scientific research/studies are unable to be repliacted with the same results when performed again What wasn't reported on GB News by Dr Malhotra was pretty worrying though. There was actually a "Expression of Concern" issued by the American Heart Association about the research in question (Link- ). This meant they had some issues with the study, with a couple of them being that there was "no statistical analyses for significance provided" (meaning no direct link could be established between the vaccines and increase risk) and that it was "unclear if the research had only used anecdotal data" (ie non scientific data). If you want a more indepth takedown of the research follow this link to FullFact (a fact checking web site) - . So Jokerman, how are your facts now? You referred to a probably edited video on YT, while I supplied you to actual links to real information/evidence. But of course, I'm all part of the conspriracy, aren't I  .

So let me get this striaght. You won't get vacinated, but you'll take the chemicle LSD, which has been proven to have both bad long/short term side effects (ref- ), thats made in some backyard lab? And after saying stuff like this, you still expect people to take you seriously when it comes to vaccines? No go and tell me how wrong I am and how I'm part of a bigger conspiracy to discredit you, after all your Heart/Body will tell you to do so  .

Oh look, Jokerman found a friend. And Jacko, nothing is without risk, even vacinies. But If the risk of the virus far outways the vacince, it's a no brianer. Now I know why Jokerman isn't vacinated. After all, he the one who said he "Listens to his Heart and Body" only when making decisions.

Where to start....... "I suspect Morrison is probably like our leaders in NZ – Jacinta and co who aren’t even vaxed. Some saline solution for the camera. They know it’s a medical trial…" So only you "suspect", but don't really know? Very convincing argument. "The All Blacks need to do the same thing. The vax will reduce the health and power for many players. The children are next in NZ (to be vaxed) and sadly it will take those losses for these issues to be heard and listened to." So why don't you buy the AB one of Pete Evens plasma spheres. After all it will revive their health, and as an extra bounus, their vitality  . As for the children, how is the AB supposed lost of "health and power" going to affect them when they get vaxxed   . "Listen to the heart. Listen to the body. Mine was like fk off " No thanks, I'll listen to my brain, after all, thats where the thinking is done (I'm supprised I actually have to say this). And as for thinking, I suggest don't let certain FB groups and Websites do it for you. Now go and have another beer while you rant about the danger of putting "toxins" in your body.

A Tennis palyer has a right to be arrogant? Even even when ranked number 1, it really doesn't impress me. As for just stating "the truth" that he's the best even when stripped of arrogancy, again, it's just Tennis and nothing thats really that important. And yes, this does apply to Ash Barty too. But unlike Djokovic, Ash is a smart, down to earth person who has achived outside the tennis world and isn't aggrogant. For this alone, she deserves alot more respect and praise then Djokovic ever has. And lets face it, if he wasn't good at tennis, he would propbably have nothing, as his comments, beliefs and actions have shown over the last couple of years. I think it has somthing do with him being like a tourch low on batteries or being similer to a certain overused tool in the shed. He should thank his lucky stars for his Tennis ability, because I hate to see what would of happened to him if he didn't. But all know its really not Djokovic treatment you're anoyed at, but at the current reality that we all living in. So just suck it up and get on with life, because you're not going to change anything and will probably live longer without the stress.
