Fremantle‘s horror start to 2023 is in danger of slumping even further into calamity when they face a struggling but still dangerous Hawthorn in Perth. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:30pm (AEST).
2-5 and sitting in the bottom four, the Dockers are a far cry from the side that surged into finals in 2022. Former captain Nat Fyfe’s return from a heel problem is badly needed, but coach Justin Longmuir has confirmed it will be as sub.
The Hawks, meanwhile, are 1-6 but could easily have one or two extra wins, with close recent losses to GWS and Adelaide. Sam Mitchell has chosen to rest veteran Luke Breust and half-back Changkuoth Jiath for the trip across the Nullarbor, with ruckman Lloyd Meek recalled to face his old side.

Yep, 2-1 flattered Leeds but helps with goal difference. The real work starts now.

Thats awesome man, it's nice when clubs can make a real difference to people out there that need it, awesome work by the club. :boxing: :stoked:

Reckon Big Sam is any chance of keeping Leeds up? They were never gonna beat City so the remaining 3 games are critical and not easy.

They were the starlight foundation jumpers. Freo does a great thing with the starlight foundation and raises a lot of money, they also seem to always win their starlight games which is nice. Was great to see Aaron Sandilands’ daughter Sloane, who has had her health battles, get to toss the coin as well.

Hey man just saw the footy show on ch9 and was wondering what the guernseys were that freo was wearing yesterday, could be wrong here but don't think I've seen it before?

I don’t really have top 8 aspirations anymore. I just want to see us play some better footy and what happens happens. Keep playing the kids, keep moving the ball fast. It’s easier to do that against Hawthorn, can they continue to be brave against the better teams? We will see over the next three weeks.

Hope you beat them & considering GC thumped them your a huge chance. Needed to win to keep up with top 8 aspirations.

Birdman Hawthorn should tank get Harley Reid and another top20 pick with your second rounder and rebuild aiming at for 2028 when Tassies entry will dilute the talent pool .

Weirdly some of our best games against the Cats have been down at the Cattery. I don’t give us much of a chance, but I give us more of a chance in the Geelong game than Sydney or Melbourne away currently.

Total kaka from the Hawks from pretty much the get go. Second to the ball all night, more turnovers than a pie shop and genuine lack of effort but way too many. Props to Freo - totally owned their home deck from start to finish. Then having to listen to Dermie made me almost pine for BT  Now to see how Leeds will fare against Man City

Rising Star nomination? Gave off one in the square as well. Totally messed with Sicily.

Every time he kicked a goal, they cut to the crowd at Steve's Hotel. I can be seen centre screen (well, bottom right) each time. Celebrations much like tonight.

A well practised "shank".

That damn Peter Matera. I still have nightmares of him.

In Tasmania. Against the Eagles. It's a sure thing like another soft tissue injury for my boys.

Don't blame me for knowingly pressing pressure points. It's a grim time for Eagles fans. At least we have Freo to provide some form of entertainment.
