Round 20 concludes with the injury-ravaged Fremantle Dockers taking on the Richmond Tigers in a virtual elimination final in Perth. Follow along with live scores on The Roar from 5:10pm (AEST).

Sitting tenth and twelfth respectively, time is fast running out for the Tigers and Dockers to stake a claim that they deserve a finals berth. Both are coming off big losses in Round 19, with the Dockers starting brightly before fading fast against Sydney, while the Tigers were simply outclassed by Geelong.

Compounding the loss for Freo were season-ending injuries to star duo Nat Fyfe (shoulder) and Michael Walters (hamstring). In years past, losing the captain and the goalsneak would have been just about game over for the Dockers; the time is now to see just what the likes of Andrew Brayshaw, Adam Cerra and Caleb Serong are made of.

Just one win since the byes has left reigning premiers Richmond in a sticky situation with only four rounds to go. However, the eighth-placed Giants are the highest side they’ll face from here on in, so Damien Hardwick’s team are probably still favourites to scrape into the finals. Watch out if they do.

However, they can ill afford to take the Dockers lightly, especially at Optus Stadium. Helping the cause is the return of Dion Prestia from injury, with Marlion Pickett managed out.

i think that's unfair on Lynch. he has had rubbish delivery for most of the year. he's almost been a decoy forward. but Jack's finishing has just gone to the dunny. now in his head. Bolton careless up front. but yes Cotchin and Jack flew the flag. which is the least you expect from the C and VC. time for them to step out, with Houli and Edwards. and probably Astbury. my cunning plan to make Lynch the skipper for a few years will let you know the answer to your question about his heart, one way or the other. after all, Geelong of all people know what he is capable of, a few broken hearts that night.

Freo's in pretty good form. Pearce back. Kids are exploding.

All that is likely to be true but I am more confident Freo will lose a game than the Tigers will lose one plus 4%

Freo's not going to stay in the eight, but Richmond - in the form they're in - can very easily lose to the Giants, while the Hawks and North are better than their ladder position suggests! Obviously this all depends on the results of GWS, Essendon and your boys, too.

Don, I would back Freo to lose at least one of those games ahead of the Tigers losing to North, Giants and Hawks

Lynch has been very ordinary for quite a while. He seems to have a heart condition. I was saying the Tigers game is pulling up short. Bombing forward in the last five with or without Dusty had cost them. Your final foray probably depends on the Derby.

Lynch was just squashed by Logue. Dusty's absence must have been the difference, Yatz. It's not as if Freo had anyone significant missing.

Problem is, Freo are not a form team either. 50/50 all three.
