It’s a Saturday clash between a Victorian duo as the North Melbourne Kangaroos and the Carlton Blues meet at the Gabba. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:05pm (AEST).
It’s no secret the Kangaroos are languishing. Zero from five over the past five rounds, North have not won a game since June 14. That win was an upset victory over GWS, at a time where there were good feelings about the squad’s chances this season. Last week’s loss – a 54 point defeat at the hands of Richmond – does not bode well for today’s clash.
Carlton are in much better form. David Teague’s men have prevailed in three of their previous five matches. Last week’s loss was a genuine heartbreaker: after the siren against a Robbie Gray-led Port Adelaide in a sensational game of footy. Incredibly, that was the Blues’ fourth clash decided by under a goal this season.
One fact that does bode well for Rhys Shaw’s side today is their stunning record against the Blues. They have won every clash between the sides since 2015, kicking triple-figure scores in all of them. Carlton have lost by less than 20 points in only one of these matches. That makes this one a danger game for the Blues, albeit one they remain favourites for.
Shaw has made a quartet of changes. Jack Ziebell and Aiden Bonar are out with injury, with Marley Williams and Mason Wood dropped. Jed Anderson, Luke Davies-Uniacke, Nick Larkey and Cam Zuurhar are all in.
Carlton are unchanged.

What happened to jai Simpkin in this match? Who tagged him? They did well to shut him down he only had 31 SuperCoach points in comparison to the estimated 110 points,,,,I’m not a massive afl fan but who are the best taggers in the comp Because I’m into disposal possessions And iv noticed a player’s possessions go down big time when tagged properly

5 goals in the 1st I was hoping for a big percentage boost mate :crying: I want them to dominate as much as you do after all these years of suffering

Every single time hey, then it shouldn't be hard for you to find posts from the Geelong and Bulldogs wins where I "bagged out" the Blues.
Macca

They play well and I'll be happy.

Percentage is going to be important this year, missed a chance

I wasn’t over the moon after yesterday’s win lol should have won by a lot more. 4 points is 4 points as I’ve said. Still proud of the team

I read as many as I can and try to give a thumbs up on as many as I can that I agree with.

pretty sure Macca would be disappointed if they win next week, maybe they will handball to much or not win by enough or the Carlton players didn't get hair cuts before game, he will have a negative about them......

You obviously don’t read many Carlton articles then. Still no mention of which team you follow.

A completely one eyed supporter would be the worst kind of supporter

Just say well done Blues and we can all happily move on ( and hopefully kick some Hawk butt next week) :stoked:

What insight from you, you bag them when they win and celebrate them losing?? every single time, as I said the worst supporter ever.
Cracka
Roar Rookie
From the time I have been on line here all I read from Macca is how bad they played when Carlton win and how great they played when they lose. Why can't he just say well done Blues great effort when they win, why is that such an issue for him?
Macca

No room for any insight into the game for you then, win good, lose bad. Why bother coming onto a discussion website if there is no room for discussion? All the articles on here could simply be replaced with the results of the week. Not surprising that someone without the capacity to see beyond the win loss also thinks there should only be one type of supporter.

Calling someone who has barracked for a team all his life the ‘worst supporter’ is name calling. If you have actually been a part of this website for a long time you would know that Macca is a very passionate Carlton supporter and has never bagged them but has for years posted many positive comments about the Blues when other team supporters have been bagging the Blues. If you think that saying you are disappointed in how your team played even though they won then you would just about be calling every person on this site their clubs worst supporter because plenty have said that about their team. Saying you are disappointed in how your team played in a particular game is not bagging them, just expressing how you felt. Interesting how you never told me which club you support.

I'm not name calling? What name? All Macca does is bag his team when they win and pats them on the back when they lose, in my mind he is a horrible supporter, he should be disappointed when they lose, not celebrate them losing and be happy when they win no matter how they get the job done. And if he is entitled to opinion then so I'm I, correct and my opinion is that he Macca is the worst supporter. Macca should be happy his team is winning games.

Carlton is my guess

Any win is great but there are times when you can be frustrated in how the team played compared to previous games. Anyway Cracka that is not the point I was making, it is your ridiculous comment saying Macca is the worst supporter ever just because he said he felt disappointed at how Carlton were playing compared to last week. He, like you is entitled to an opinion but doesn’t warrant name calling. Just for the record which team do you follow?
Cracka

If you lose it doesn’t matter how you thought they played you lost....simple black and white and if you win it doesn’t matter how you won as a win is a win again simple black and white. You can’t of played well if you lost and who cares how you played if you won. Would you be disappointed if you beat Collingwood by 1 point or 100 in a grand final?
