North Melbourne travel to their home away from home in Hobart to take on the suddenly resurgent Port Adelaide now dreaming of finals after three wins in a row. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 2:10pm (AEST).
Just three weeks ago, the Kangaroos, remarkably, were ahead of the Power on the AFL ladder, though that was mostly due to Port starting the season with five consecutive losses.
Now, the Power, thanks to three consecutive wins over West Coast, St Kilda and the Western Bulldogs, are just a game and percentage outside the finals, while the Roos have suffered ugly loss after ugly loss.
Injury has struck North hard this week, with number one draft pick Jason Horne-Francis (hamstring), key back Ben McKay (knee) and inside bull Hugh Greenwood (COVID) all missing the trip to Tasmania. In better news, forward spearhead Nick Larkey returns from suspension, while 2020 high draft pick Tom Powell is back after a run in the VFL.
For the Power, having resurrected their season in recent weeks, they simply can’t afford to drop a game like this. Running defender Riley Bonner and wingman Trent Dumont will miss due to an ankle injury and health and safety protocols respectively, with superboot Kane Farrell among the returnees having missed the win over the Bulldogs due to COVID.

No, I was asking. I didn't watch. I flicked over at 3/4 time. It was only just over 30 points then. Obviously flicked the switch in the last.

Nah, get the big fulla back in, has had two weeks to get fit. I'm convinced that Marshall, George, Dixon, Gray, Fantasia, Finlayson, SPP, Motlop are the set and forget forwards

Did Fremantle [who is winning the flag]struggle beating North by 78 points at home Don,nice home ground advantage or was Port struggling [13th on the ladder] flying down to Tassie and winning by 70 points.Interesting conclusion to say Port are struggling Don

Maybe the AFL can re-introduce the 10 year rule. Back in the day under Ronald Dale, they, (North Melbourne), recruited Doug Wade, (Geelong), Barry Davis,(Essendon) John Rantell ,(South Melbourne), and Stan Alves, (Melbourne)... all of whom had represented their respective clubs for 10 years or more. The prize at the end of the day was the 1975 Premiership Cup. In all seriousness, after yet another drubbing, where do North Melbourne and the AFL go from here?

Good game today, getting some footy under the belts of some important players. Marshall is looking good…..big, muscles all over the joint, gonna be a big fella next year. Butters and Rozee were excellent, SPP would almost be leading the B&F, George was really good as usual, Hayes has a lot of potential Next week: Out: Frederick, Farrell, Duursma (unlucky) In: Dixon, Fantasia, Jonas Geelong at stupid stadium next week, massive game for Port
