Their woeful start to the year now a distant memory, the Eagles continue to go from strength to strength and made it seven wins on the trot last week with a five-goal dismissal of Hawthorn. This will be West Coast’s last game at home before heading back into a Queensland hub, making this set of four points even more crucial.
Greater Western Sydney, on the other hand, are in crisis mode. A full 20 percentage points outside the eight, the Giants need to rack up wins quickly and simply cannot afford a repeat of their shock 41-point loss to Sydney last week – arguably the most inexcusable performance in Leon Cameron’s reign.
West Coast have a stellar 27-6 record so far at their new home ground, winning the last seven matches in a row. The Giants, on the other hand, are yet to claim a win at the new stadium and have just two wins from 11 visits to Perth.

Great game this was. Privileged to witness the Nic Nat spectacle of brilliance, high flying Gov and a goal by another debutant this year. Tough hard footy in the packs and no give on either side. The boys will be sore today but hopefully they will be pumped ready for the Thursday game in QLD

The G is the biggest ground in the country, and I think you’re right with WA but the only thing that’s left to determine is will the entire finals series be there? I think the Queensland government will be pushing hard for it to be in Brisbane cos it’s an election year haha

Should be in WA but not looking good for that at the moment (politics ugh). Would love to see Vic team have to play in WA in front of a parochial crowd. Or Brisbane if that's how the cookie crumbles (or the ball bounces). What a delight - albeit for a dark reason - that the GF won't be played at the bloody old G this year. A small ray of sunlight in a dismal 2020.
