Sitting fifth, the Bulldogs are closing in on a fifth consecutive finals berth, and welcome back Jason Johannisen from a long-term injury as well as much-maligned recruit Rory Lobb as they aim to entrench themselves in fifth on the ladder.
The Giants, though, have come from nowhere to surge into the top eight, and could rise to fifth themselves with a victory here; no doubt Toby Greene and company will be keen to take down their old foes for the first time since the 2019 elimination final.

Wow, love the Giants and their new coach. Leon always looked half asleep and, in my opinion, didn’t publicly support his players the way a coach should. This is going to do wonders for AFL in Sydney.

James Sicily and Toby Greene are two sides of the same coin as captain. Sicily is in my opinion the worst captain in the league but the Hawks are bereft of leaders, Greene is one of the best, and with the captaincy he has pulled his head in
