By The Roar / Editor

Dane Rampe’s climbing of the goal post against Essendon caused a lot of public outrage and it hasn’t stopped there.

You are not on the rules committee, but it could turn out that way i suppose.

Forget climbing the goal post. Why no comments about the Collingwood Carlton game where the FREE KICKX were 16/6 at half time and instead of doing the time honoured bit of equalisation the umps compounded the problem with a total of 24/8 for the match. That gives Collingwood and extra player called FREE KICKS who finished up in the Collingwood top 10 players with 16 possessions (that's Supercoach equivalent of 16 marks and 16 kicks all uncontested) with both Collingwood's goals to get back in front in the last quarter starting from free kicks, both dubious. And what about Jamie Elliot's wrapping up of Marchbank in the last quarter while a Collingwood goal sailed through. Get some guts and tell what really went on and stop kowtowing to AFL directives.

The rule is already there plain and simple. As an Essendon supporter I dont care that they missed it on the night, however the AFL's response afterwards just shows how gutless they are and dont even get me started on the Nat Fyfe and Gary Ablett decisions

If they can climb a post without causing any movement in the post then good luck to them. Any rocking -- even the slightest -- means automatic free kick.

Not unless there is a rule brought in that indicates an infringement.

If someone climbs a goalpost this week they should expect to not be penalised?
