Australia are within touching distance of a 2-0 Ashes lead, needing six wickets on Day 5 at Lord’s to defeat England, who require 257 run for a stunning comeback win. Join The Roar for live scores from 8pm (AEST).
Despite the loss of Nathan Lyon and a bouncer barrage from England, Australia are now on track for a famous victory, with England 4/114 chasing 371.
However, with Ben Duckett and Ben Stokes in the middle of an unbroken 69-run partnership to give England the faintest hope, the Aussie attack will want to break through quickly to ensure there are no repeats of 2019’s famous Stokes-inspired miracle at Headingley.
Venue: Lord’s, London
First ball: 8pm (AEST)
TV: Nine Network
Streaming: 9Now
Betting: England $6.50, draw $41, Australia $1.14 – odds via PlayUp

Ah .. getting it comprehensively wrong. But carry on. Admitting you are wrong is a sign of strength but continue on ...

Duckett could have walked. Based on the logic of Bairstow being called back.

No I still hate him, can bowl but is an absolute dark head

This match wasn’t lost on the last day but as you said up front. Whilst I wouldn’t describe Bairstow like that, I was never happy that Foakes was dropped to accomodate him. Carey has been outstanding and arguably the difference between the two sides. (Broad isn’t wrong though…not in England anyway.)

They see everything as unsportsmanlike when they lose but are fine with it when they win. Look at the filth that was at Lords today, their country should be ashamed of them.

Nah, they can eat it. Broad saying he didn't like the run out - the same Broad that smashed a ball straight to 3rd slip and didn't walk wanting to lecture on the spirit of the game ffs. Hope every English heart at Lords today is irreperrably broken after that loss.

Too many passengers for the first 3 days mate. Plus you had the handicap of having Bairstow in your team. I thought Eng was awash with keepers at the moment, how do they keep picking that fat buffoon?

Fair play to you. Emotions were running hot last night. Can’t remember why. :silly:

Yep fair comment! I definitely had a few to many last night ! It was a poor comment ! Uppercut given :stoked:

Two pieces of smart quick thinking wicket keeping that are semi controversial can’t be related in my mind? If it didn’t remind me of it, I wouldn’t have written the comment! So you sit and watch a game and nothing conjures memories of anything similar? Or are you suggesting that I shouldn’t drunkenly post on sports forum page at 1 in the morning… I am not sure how to interpret your comment.
