Can only go on the scorecard, but Burns/Street haven't stamped any authority for a possible Test opener spot. Usman similarly - guess we have to see what he produces this 2nd innings. Head seemed to go at a good clip in his 1st innings - wonder how he was out though?
What a breath of fresh air being back cricket at Adelaide Oval, away from the dire Karen Rolton. Actually got an interesting Shield game going on.
For certain Buttercup
Surely Tim P wouldn't similarly degenerate into caricature-mode:
- "when *I* was captain, *I* wouldn't have done (insert x, y, z)
- "when *I* was captain. *I* would say to Dougie, "Dougie (I would say), Dougie, you need to teach these mothers a lesson". Dougie would say "Skip, I got this.
Now F off cap". Imagine if I tried to really tell Dougie what to really do. Dougie would have told me where to get off 100%. Men were men back then. Nowadays they are pandered to within an inch of their life. And walk if you think you're out? *Mental Health..? Pleeease!".
yeah, not sure what's going on with Paine. Maybe it's old age or maybe he thinks he has to make some sort of comment. What ever it is, he's setting himself up to be completely irrelevant, once he stops playing Test cricket.
The eastern back will remain a grassed area, but extended further back and around to the north. It’ll need to be graded to a lower angle.

I suspect they are doing these works first to lock in additional capacity before they then demolish the Inverarity and Prindiville stands.
–
The north-eastern end of the grassed bank aroound through the seating currently in front of the players pavilion will also accommodate the 50m pool and junior pools, so that may be some of the concrete works, if that is what you are seeing? I haven’t been there this season.
Message to Dr Paine; you're not a qualified neurologist, so don't offer an opinion about this man's health or his ability to play top level cricket ever again.
PS age has nothing to do with it. Happy to school you in concussive impacts on brain function for an agreed fee.
Gotta get that ad revenue Jeff! :silly:
BTW: What's happening at the Waca? The whole eastern grassbank has been dug up, and it looks like they're going to build something out there. You know what?
