Sorry don’t follow regarding one in 16 or 1 in 18. But I’m not making a case for Marsh, not in the slightest. Just saying Stoinis is a really bad idea, even worse than Marsh. How they bowled in one match is neither here nor there. If Stoinis’s average is 43 you might as well have Head, Finch or Maxwell bowling.

Amazing to think Australia has never had a real all rounder since Keith Miller.

ok Warnie, how about we bring back Michael Beer for a run in Lyons spot too? Stick to twitter Warnie, your time is done. Stoinis is injured Warnie; too much hair spray has clouded your judgement. We dont need another all rounder. Stay with Handscomb. Warnie loves picking the "mimbo" types like Stoinis. More crucial is to drop Finch from opening! He will be slaughtered on the fast Perth wicket. If hethought Adelaide was rough, my goodness Finch will be slammed.

Absolutely Cad. - there are no allrounders in this country (and very few in the world!) 6 batsmen, 4 bowlers and a wicky - end of story !!

Good call Warnie. Reckon we should also bring back Michael Beer.

I agree but stoinis is better batsmen and bowler than marsh but he needs to score runs to get picked.

You want to bring in a number 6 whose bowling average is higher than his batting average. You have to be joking. We do not have any allrounders. Remember an allrounder is one who could be picked solely for his batting or solely for his bowlintg. Not a a bits and pieces player who can do a bit of both.

We already have two all rounders in Starc and Cummins. Maxwell averages 41 with the bat and 44 with the ball in first class cricket. If we have to go with another all rounder, then surely you would let Maxwell debut in Australia.

They're both terrible and don't deserve to play test cricket because they 'can' bowl. We're only really considering an 'all rounder' (read: extremely average bits and pieces player) because Starc has been woefully out of form - his average to the top 6 this year is over 50.

Already found it hard enough to support this team with Finch opening, I’ll actively cheer for India if Stoinis and Finch are in the same team.

Stoinis bowled better than marsh who leaked runs in his first innings 4.56, 1 wicket of his 18 vs stoinis 1.88 and 1 wicket of his 16. He is injured and won’t bowl for until the big bash bit marsh failed to make runs. M marsh averages 31 in first class

Great idea Warnie. Stoinis is a no brainer. I mean we really need a number 6 who averages 33 in First Class with the bat and 43 with the ball. That should really strengthen the batting. I’m sure he’ll be able to hit sixes in 85 like he did yesterday. against a Test attack with all the pressure on him. Crikey at least Mitch Marsh can bowl a bit.
