Have you noticed the new code for, "I was robbed?"
Both Burns and Head begin by just standing, delaying their departure, but the code is to flip the bat and hold it by the body or the base of the bat.
If they know they are genuinely out, they walk off the traditional way, the handle hold, walking stick method.
Mind you, did it rob him of a century? He still needed 13 runs. The next ball may have got him.
I think Head will be picked. He is very reliable. He'll be an Allan Border type.
Yes he was. Guys at this level generally have a pretty good idea about when a ball pitches outside the line of leg stump, especially left handers.
It's not as bad a decision as the one Burns copped.
Unless, of course it was pitched just on leg stump...in which case it was a brilliant decision.
I guess it depends on who you are barracking for as to where it pitched.
Geez - I've slowed it down frame by frame and it's very close whether some of the ball was in line with leg stump or not. Unlucky.....maybe. Outright dodgy or a stinker....don't think so.

Head didn't help himself with a poor shot.

I have not argued that it didn't. You guys are paranoid.

I don't barrack for either team Don but blind Freddy can see that pitches outside leg stump. Think you need your eyes checked.

Pretty close, but just pitching outside the line for me. Should be enough for a spot in the 1st test though

And there's no doubt for whom you are barracking

Pitched outside leg stump - cannot be given out - an outright stinker - umpire should be sacked - an under 13 umpire would have given that not out
