For the second week in a row the Canterbury Bulldogs feature in the last game of the round, today against the Cronulla Sharks. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:30pm (AEST).

Neither side has been setting the NRL world alight this year, although there’s no great surprise there. Cronulla are an inconsistent outfit while the Bulldogs just don’t have the cattle to move up the table.

Still, both sides will have been disappointed with their latest outings. The Sharks became the only team this year to lose to the Dragons, and while there’s no shame in the Dogs falling to the Roosters, the way their defence was cut up is a bad sign, particularly after Dean Pay had turned his side into a stingy, hard-working outfit without the ball late last year.

Both coaches have made a number of changes after last week’s poor showings. Matt Moylan is no guarantee to return for the Sharks, while the Bulldogs will be without Aiden Tolman as he stays in quarantine.

Cronulla get lock Jack Williams back for today’s match as they look to make it six wins from seven outings against the Dogs.

Close, hard fought game; hardly top class. With respect to all, it's hard to believe these two are in the same competition as Roosters, Eels, Manly - such a huge gap.

Bad luck mate. I get the feeling we will both be losing more than we win this season though.

Unlucky for Dogs, Crispy TB and their mob, and my tipping. Congrats Dogs Boddy and the rest of the Sharkies.

Very good game. Both teams really wanted to win this one. Dogs again with a valiant effort that leaves them short. Shark will be happy to scrape through with the win. That was pretty close.

Woohoo. Another quality performance from the Sharks there, they were on fire. Or was it the quality of that performance will get them fired? I’m not sure, I know the word fire was in there somewhere. Not the prettiest game but they all count. Up Up

Stark difference today between DCE and Johnson’s game management with an 8 point lead in the last ten.

OK two and a half minutes to score three tries and put this one out of reach.

You have a point, Pay doing well in a difficult situation. I think they (Dogs) are thinking that some coaches can attract some decent players - ie. Bennett.

Plus Dean Pay looks like the mascot on the badge so that has to be worth something right??

Jake Averilo....definitely has a big future ahead of him. Watched him last week against the best team in the comp and he handled himself extremely well in the centers.

Well that was lucky. Why was Josh Dugan doing his best not to pick that up in the beginning??
