Round 26 of the NRL premiership continues tonight when the North Queensland Cowboys take on the Dolphins at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane. Join The Roar for live scores from 8pm (AEST).
Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow, Connelly Lemuelu and Kenny Bromwich are available again after concussion absences. The Dolphins have ditched the experiment of playing Tabuai-Fidow at centre and have moved him back to his favourite position of fullback.
“I’m excited to be back there. I have played centre but fullback is the number one position I prefer,” the Hammer said.
Kodi Nikorima has been switched back to five-eighth.
Young winger Semi Valemei is free to play after he was only fined for a high tackle in the loss to Cronulla but he has been ruled out with a knee complaint.
Jeremiah Nanai injured his other shoulder after making a comeback from an AC joint problem against the Sharks.
The Cowboys have been thereabouts in the top-eight race for most of the season but are yet to cement a spot. The equation is simple now – win this weekend and next or miss the finals. Cowboys by 12

What was the crowd figure? Imagine if that was a couple of Sydney teams outside not in finals contention.

Lot of talk about the Cowboys even if they get a win against Panthers relying on the Roosters to beat Souths. What if Raiders lose to Broncos and Sharks or Knights have a couple of losses?

OK to be safe we need to beat you by 100.
Panthers

What if South’s do a job on the Roosters by 30? I don’t think Penrith could play much worse than against Parramatta. They lost by 14.

Yeah Cotter is right there with him. Tommy kick chase is exceptional along with his cover defence. He was Hammer on every kick same as he did to Tedesco when he played Origin.

Not if we beat you guys by about 50 odd.

So the Cowboys year could be over before they play at Penrith.

Good work from the Cowboys and congrats to their fans. The Dolphins fans should be happy as they have a great team. I am sure that there will be happy days ahead.

Or Cotter. He's so consistent you forget he is there.

Good win fellas. Second half was meh but we defended pretty well. Phins are a really gutsy side. They will leap ahead next year. Now I have to cheer for the Roosters . Geez that's a tough gig.

Congratulations to the Cowboys on a dominating win. Well done to the Dolphins for never giving up, the score could've easily blown out.

My kids have this unbelievable knack of going to sleep just so I can only see the last min of a game. Wayne has some work to do in getting a deeper squad with a better half moving forward.

Well done, Cowboys. Terrific 1 st half. Pity about the second half fade. Good luck next week, but you will need to play out the full game.

Yeah... my nickname based on Brittney Spears ex husband from 20 years ago might be a little niche :silly: Surely we can do better!
