A fierce rivalry gets back underway as the Gold Coast Titans and North Queensland Cowboys clash at Cbus Super Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 2pm (AEST).

Despite getting trounced by Melbourne a few weeks ago, coach Justin Holbrook would have to be happy with how Gold Coast have gone over the last month. They’ve knocked off the Warriors at home and have pushed the Panthers and Roosters all the way over the last fortnight. They’ll be quietly confident of stealing a win today.

For the Cowboys, a change in coach hasn’t yet resulted in a change of fortunes. North Queensland have been competitive, but losses to Manly and Canberra under interim coach Josh Hannay have seen their losing run extend to five matches. They haven’t put 20 points on the board in any of those games.

The Titans will need to crack an almighty hoodoo to get up today; they’ve lost their last ten matches against the Cowboys, a streak that dates back to March 2014. North Queensland have won on their last three visits to Cbus Super Stadium, while Gold Coast have won just one of their last 12 home games.

He would make a great 14, covers fullback five eight and I think he’d be dangerous at 9

Just get the right coach and so much will change. We're in the same boat. But so were Cows.

Keep the faith mate. With Seibs out of the picture, you actually have a roster that could do some damage over the next 2 weeks then you got Dragons to run you back into some form.

Interesting A.J.Brimson is in the squad for QLD State of Origin this year. Be interesting where he would play with a certain Kalyn Ponga at fullback.

He is going into two weeks iso after a family issue so you wish him well on that. Darius gone might help too, it sounds like he has not helped with the atmosphere either. It looks like a bunch of people who can't work together all there at the same time. Cows are the same.

True, but would you want to move Hamiso?? He is just poetry in motion that guy.

Geepers. Staggs would be a huge loss. Doesn't he have a relative on the assistant coaching team? I think with a change of coach you might plug a few gaps and with Seibs out of the picture for 2 weeks, there might be a surprise or two. You guys obviously need a new coach, though I must say while I have no time for him as a coach the whispers I get are that there are issues on the home front and I wouldn't wish that load of stress on anyone. Good luck to you, find something positive out there. Cheers

Titans are a good side if they want to play. They showed up today and Morgan hasn’t played enough football in 3 years to expect anything different than an average performance. They missed Clifford’s long kicks and better defence IMO. Morgan would have been better coming back at 6 IMO.

I think my Broncos are going to give the Cowboys a run for their money on getting the spoon this year (I can't believe I'm writing this....)
