The North Queensland Cowboys are at home to the Newcastle Knights to round out Saturday night NRL. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:35pm AEST.

The Newcastle Knight have forgotten how to score tries and the longer the drought continues, the more the frustration will build.

It could be tricky conditions in Townsville with heavy rain forecast this weekend across Queensland.

The Knights have made 30 errors in their own half this season – it’s always bad to turn the ball over but doubly so when it gifts field position to the opponents. With a patched-together team, Newcastle are going to struggle to remain competitive away to the red-hot Cowboys if they continue that trend.

For the Cowboys, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow looked tentative when he made his comeback from a knee injury in the second half of the Darwin demolition of the Eels but was still able to play a part in the late avalanche of tries. He’s again been named on the bench and with Scott Drinkwater excelling at fullback, does Todd Payten could slot him into the centres ahead of veteran Peta Hiku.

Great stage actor and full of life he was. Cant believe hes still alive. Him and John Rhys-Davies I thought looked like brothers.

Cowboys dropped down a few gears tonight. 2 points is still 2 points thankfully. Think the effort last week left them flat tonight. Cotter 100% a 100% of the time is a little gem.

You know theyve got it on netflex so you can relive the Queen soundtrack. Can still see the wires/ropes making the wings flap :stoked:

And Campbell-Gillard. Anyway, hate it. Keep gambling and footy separate. Reminds me of Gay Waterouse take over a couple of years back, where they even had Gays son in the commentary.

I will never forget the floggings Penrith got and they were just one loss away from the spoon in 2014/15 somewhere around there.. that lead to a big overhaul, massive change and look where they are now. Who knows, these bleak times may be just the thing that sets off a change for good? Always easier to say though…

O'Brien dropped him. Doesn't consider him good enough. Maybe it's time O'Brien dropped himself.

Where was Clifford? They were going good when he was playing. In fact the last time they won he was on.
