The Parramatta Eels will look to continue showing off their premiership credentials tonight against the North Queensland Cowboys. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:55pm (AEST).

Both sides enter tonight’s clash fresh off important wins. The Eels managed to see off the Raiders thanks to a match-winning field goal from skipper Clint Gutherson deep into golden-point, while the Cowboys stunned the Knights with an unexpected 30-20 win at home.

Unfortunately for Parramatta, they’ll have to make do without Mitch Moses in this one, who is out with a calf injury. The halfback has been in excellent form all year and his absence will put extra pressure on Gutherson and young five-eighth Dylan Brown to run the show with Jai Field wearing the no.7 jersey.

Brad Arthur has also made an unforced change on the bench, bringing in David Gower for Daniel Alvaro.

North Queensland counterpart Paul Green had been in the rare position of not having any new injuries to worry this week, but that didn’t last to matchday. Jordan McLean was ruled out on Friday with a calf strain. Francis Molo moves into the starting front row, and Reuben Cotter comes onto the bench.

Can the captain challenge a forward pass that leads to an opposition try or a pass called forward where the try was not allowed?

Come on Kyle !! At least 5 tries scored on your side. You really only need to tackle one player - your opposite winger. If they score inside you the coach can take it up with your team mates !!

Yeah , thats why we needed to win up front . Once their forwards got on a roll , we had no chance . Still that right edge is no where near nrl standard in D. It caused me physical pain watching them fluff around . We will fight you for the spoon my good man.

"Parra has the better and ( bigger )outside backs and that’s where I think we might fall down." ....a rather prophetic statement jimmmy! The Eels certainly enjoyed it out wide.

I get that, WTHeck, but game is won, they're tired and just not risking an injury in the final minutes, that's all.

I hadn't seen any cowboys games this season. I watched that one to get a snapshot of how they were going. I don't want to make too much of a single game, but ouch.

Yep. It’s a shame because outside of running the football he doesn’t offer anything else. It’s called using a bloke to his strength? He defends like a cat unless he can cheap shot a halfback whilst kicking or passing

Okay straight off for a physics lesson boys. If someone runs at you at 30kmh and you are standing still they will drive you backwards. If you go high they’ll knock you AOT. Lesson 1 in rugby league it is easier to tackle a bigger bloke before he gets a head of stem up than letting him come to you. Oh well you’re coach is on a $ million a season so that advice you get for free.

Well done Eels. Very disappointing, Cowboys. Didn't really expect them to win, but, after last week, looked forward to a good, competitive game.
