Yep it is seriously hard to explain away the lack of consistency as just incompetence. I mean who was this guy from the MRC and what exactly was he thinking. "Cordner elbow to the jaw which forces Reynolds off the field for an HIA....ok that's fine nothing there. Tetavano smashes Douehi late off the ball and nearly breaks his ribs.....nothing in it...not his go. Oh...but what do we have here....a hair pull.....OMG he must pay for this the bastard!! The MRC is just a joke of massive proportions. They need to get properly trained officials scrutinising the games instead of brain dead ex footballers. That would be a good start.

JWH and Cordner also "hit the guy in the head/throat" and Tetevano hit a guy late and without the ball. But that wouldn't matter to a Roosters supporter now would it? Just like having a team that is clearly rorting the salary cap and trying to buy premierships one after the other in plain sight. Your mob may lift a shiny trophy but it's fools gold with no honour and no glory just as the Storm discovered when they were stripped of their ill-gotten gains. You can't hide the truth in darkness forever. Sooner or later all evil deeds come to light and sooner or later someone talks. Tick, tock... tick, tock...

Without consistency and fairness Paul the whole house of cards comes crashing down. That also extends to the salary cap as much as to refereeing, the MRC and the judiciary.

I'd love to help you out Papi, but I'm as perplexed as you are about these and many other judiciary "decisions" made this year. My comment was purely about the Burgess incident, these others are a whole different kettle of fish.

Burgess hit the guy in head in the tackle - which should be a penalty in itself- unless that’s ok in league - than did the hair pull. So two separate offences. League is still in the dark ages seriously. I watched a couple of the Foxtel league shows and boy what a bunch of dinosaurs.

Because Cam Smith neither grabbed an opponent’s ear nor applied any undue pressure to the temple of an opposition player.

Hang on! So there IS one rule for Sam Burgess, another rule for the rest and a hush hush, wink wink, arrangement for the Roosters, the Storm and Cam Smith in particular? Just as we all thought. Just like in life, justice must be blind and applied to all in equal measure without prejudice or favour or it is not justice at all.

I'm fuming at both. But mostly I'm fuming at the glaring inconsistency and clear bias of the MRC who charged Sam for a hair pull but let Asofa-Solomona, Kamikamica, Cam Smith, Cordner and Tetevano off scott free for far worse! At the very least, if there was any fairness and consistency, JWH and Tetevano would be missing tomorrow night. Tell me Paul, WHY is it that a hair pull is deemed a more serious offence than Cam Smith trying to rip a player's ear off and drive his knuckles through another player's temple in order to control the tackle and slow down the play the ball?

Every morning, my bulldog wakes up, waddles into my bedroom, gets startled by his own reflection in the floor to ceiling mirror, freaks out, charges head first at the dog in the mirror, smashes his face into the glass and enters into a barking fit of confusion. There is more intellectual worth in the noise he makes than the moronic spackle that Andrew Johns is sharting out his mouth in that video.

Yep, you got to go hard, or they may continue on this line. There are decent penalties and rules all through our lives. Even simple enough for kids to understand.

Spot on Paul. Burgess knows it only takes something stupid like this to get him suspended and is still dumb enough to go out there and do it. Not something a good leader does.

No Andrew, he's missing a game because of multiple infringements over the course of the season. The guy is supposed to be a Club leader and he does something stupid like that??? If I were a Souths fan, I'd be fuming - not at the judiciary, but at Burgess.
