I’ve no issues with two blokes going at it, but it’s been decades since that happened. Nowadays, anything that looks like a stink has guys flying in from 40 yards away, often trying to clean up someone with a blindside cheap shot.

I’ll admit to being a dinosaur and enjoying a punch on in a game when it happens but it’s just not tenable to have a game with a high risk of concussion and all the legal and financial risks that flow on from that and then sanction players to punch others in the head
