I do not know if you are contending the decision was right or wrong - what I say is that it does not matter today, last night or seconds after the decision was announced. In that circumstance there is no profit in a captain or a player getting stuck into a match official. History tells me that referees are not ever going to un-blow their whistle in the absence of new and compelling reasons why they should. Anger and "I disagree" (full stop) are not at all compelling. The smartest captains see the decision signal, quickly assess the likelihood of a reversal, turn on their heel and quietly lead their players back to position for the next stanza. Teenage rage is for teenagers, not top line professionals. "I'm puzzled" and "I just want to understand" are best put an hour after the game has finished, but they rarely are because they are not interested in learning anything, they are merely pretending, seeking to craft an advantage.

In the run of play, DCE didn't even react (and he was only a few metres away). So it couldn't have been that obviously a penalty...

Devil's advocate, Best was in the act of pushing as the player is dropping the ball to kick. Sooooo......

In defence of DCE, all he wanted was an explanation and told the referee it was ordinary.

Beyond belief that you don't mention the grub of a human who thinks it is okay to a) attack an official (for a decision that wasn't his) and b) use a slur that insults not just a referee but people (and their families) who suffer disabilities. And then there is fact it is from a guy who we know is an ordinary human who thinks he has greater status in society than others. But sure, a questionable call among dozens of questionable calls that happen every weekend.. that is completely beyond belief....

First half , DCE deliberately impedes a player as he's chasing a kick. He goes to the bin and the Knights kick the 2 points which ends up being the winning margin. No doubt about that. Last season Jurbo is trying to cover defend , trips Gagai by accident as he runs behind him and the incidental grab on the shoulder results in the sin bin and ends all hope of a Manly win. Somehow when Best does something equally as obvious as DCE and clearly much more deliberate than Jurbo last season , the bunker finds no case to answer. Beyond belief, completely beyond belief.
