Btw, I went to school with and played football with Nathan Merritt's dad. I told Nathan as much after one of the Bunnies games at Gosford (Central Coast stadium).
Wether you’re a “One-eyed” Bunnie’s supporter or not, that Ingles try was straight fire! Hard to argue against that  Both great tries. PS: My favourite League winger of all time is Mr. Nathan Merritt. Tragically underrated player.
That second Try could very well be judged the best NRL Try this year, Tom. The earlier one by Turbo although is the product of extremely soft defence. Though full credit to Turbo for his immense effort.
Sorry, IMO Greg Inglis's length of the field solo effort try against the Broncos beating half their team is at the top of the tree. Although, the fact that I am a one-eyed Rabbitohs supporter may have some influence on that perspective. :silly:
That was pretty special although ultimately meaningless in the context of the game.
I reckon there should be a team try of the year (awarded to the club) and a solo try of the year. Tommy might have won both within 20 minutes in the same match!
The try was a worthy winner but surely this award should go to the man responsible, Rueben Garrick. Tom himself said as much and i think was a bit embarrassed accepting it.

I played against Ian Roberts and Mario Fenech too, Adam. But I was never in that league.

I'm not one-eyed at all, Adam. One eye is cardinal and the other eye is myrtle.

Very good point jimmmy. Team tries should top the list. The Rabbitohs have PLENTY of those.

Yeah, the Ingliss try certainly gets the gong for individual trys. It's hard to line up great team trys against great individual ones though.
