Both Sydney FC and the Newcastle Jets are looking to climb up the ladder as they do battle on a Saturday afternoon. Stay up to date with their A-League clash with live scores on The Roar from 5:05pm (AEDT).

Sydney FC played twice last Matchweek for one win and a draw. They were unlucky to be denied the full three points against Brisbane last Saturday, but got back on the winners list with a 2-0 victory over Western United on Wednesday night. Entering the round in seventh – sitting outside top six on goals scored – they’ll be looking to string wins together and get back on track.

After a really promising run of form, Newcastle look to be back in the doldrums. The Jets had enjoyed a healthy run of undefeated matches but have since lost two in a row – the most recent defeat coming at the hands of Adelaide on Friday night. They currently sit 11th on the ladder and, while they’re technically only four points outside the top six, they’ve played the most games of any non-finalist so far – so they need to get a wriggle on.

Great speed, decent ball control and doesn't mind taking a shot. He did make a difference.

The sign of a good team. Still not playing at their best but two wins in 4 days is a great result.

About time redmayne has been found out, he's as bad as janjetovic, he's just had brilliant defences shielding him for years. Unfortunately he hasn't got that luxury this year

I literally tuned in just then. First thing I see is Redmayne kick it to Prso, who sores. Wow.

Normally you would say Jets are a good chance here with SFC playing already mid-week
