Youngster Shai Bolton has signed a two-year contract extension with Richmond that will keep him at the AFL club until the end of 2023.

The 22-year-old midfielder, who was part of the Tigers’ premiership-winning sides in 2019 and 2020, has averaged 20 disposals this season.
“I am happy to be at Tigerland. We have got a very good Indigenous culture at Richmond as well, and I think it is getting even better,” Bolton said.
“I just love it at the place.”
Richmond football talent general manager Blair Hartley said Bolton has thrived since arriving from Western Australia in 2016.
“He has worked really hard to improve his game, which he has taken to another level this season, and shown attributes that we rate really highly in the way we want to play,” Hartley said.
Bolton issued a public apology earlier this year after being involved in a nightclub fight, in which he fractured his wrist while defending his teammate Daniel Rioli.
A joint investigation by Richmond and the AFL found Bolton exacerbated the situation when he stepped in after Rioli’s girlfriend had been subjected to inappropriate behaviour from a patron.
Bolton and the club made a $20,000 charity donation as a result.

Sold him the view that in 2 years time a few blokes come off contract and if he proves himself he will get a sizeable upgrade.

He was the best player up to half time against the Crows. Dusty blew the game open after that.

Showdowns can be unpredictable.Just try and keep winning and see where we finish at the end of the home and away, could blowout our way or crows might make it very difficult for us,they have some scalps this year so not a given

comparing Butters to Bolton is like comparing a 1967 Shelby Mustang to a 1981 Mitsubishi scorpion. Damn right B1, Butters is a workmanlike player but is not a patch on Bolton. Your criticism of the Tiges gave me a bit of chuckle too as I snuck another look at the highlights from the '17, '19 & '20 GFs!

Dude, what are you talking about? You've made no sense, I asked you to clarify, you didn't. Looks to me like you might have a couple of aliases on the go? Perhaps if you just explained what you're actually on about it would help?

Lol, comparing Butters to Bolton is like comparing a 1967 Shelby Mustang to a 1981 Mitsubishi scorpion. Can totally understand why Oppo supporters wouldn’t like him though. Mate your team looks like a prison mug shot, neck tatts and ex cons everywhere, but sure, the Tigers are the pinnacle of good behaviour……unless you count breaching Covid rules and punching on in front of Kebab shops.
