The Adelaide Crows are hunting for their first win of the season, but will need to upset the Collingwood Magpies at the Adelaide Oval to do so. Join The Roar for live scores from 6:35pm (AEST).

In what’s already been a horror season for Adelaide, the last fortnight was arguably the lowest point. Fresh off an encouragingly competitive loss to Essendon, the Crows had a golden chance to notch a win against either lowly North Melbourne or Melbourne, but got crushed in both games. The chance of going through 2020 winless appears real.

Collingwood got themselves back on the winners’ list last week with a nine-point triumph over Sydney, but it’s been an iffy three-week period for the Magpies and they need a big win here to get back into form. Currently sitting eighth on the ladder, they need a big finish to the season to push for the flag.

Adelaide have been smashed in their last two outings against the Pies, losing last year’s encounter by 66 points and 2018’s meeting by 48. The Crows have lost their last six matches at home, while Collingwood have won on their last two visits to the Adelaide Oval.

Equal sixth, playing Melbourne, recovering players, if it wasn’t for lockdown you would have nothing to complain about.

It’s a hard mark on the Pies Chucks. Take out 9 of the best 22 for any side out and you’re just thankful for a win. We’ve only beaten Sydney and Adelaide last two weeks but those 8 points are precious. I agree our forward line is misfiring but Treloar , Pendles, De Goey, Hoskin-Elliott , Jamie Elliott for example will make the mid - forward connection better.

It’s one of my main concerns with Cox. He’s a beanpole who gets pushed under the ball. Cameron used his body well last night and took 9 marks .

I only got to see the last quarter and a half, but he looked like he could at least bring the ball to ground in a contest, something big Mason struggles with, if you can get that ball to ground you've got the smalls. I wonder if it would be worth putting Cox through a huge weights program to get some more muscle, make him heavy and a lot harder to move under the ball?

I think there are considerably more positives for the crows to take out than the pies. Elliot himmelberg has started looking very good with his contested marking, their midfield was playing with a harder edge and their backline didn’t capitulate. The pies on the other hand have a completely misfiring forward line so clearly there are some pretty major question marks surrounding then

9 of their best team weren’t out there Dan hard to “decide” on 8 injured players

A strange time to put that comment in 2dogs but then again you’re a strange unit. I mean that in a good way by the way. Enjoy your input.

Don't worry, Adelaide will play two competitive quarters then remember their capacity to turn that into an unmitigated, abject capitulation.

I think when you get the cattle back you will have a good backend of the season. The only weakness I see at the Pies with a fit 22 is that Full forward spot, which admitedly is a big weakness, but that's why DeGoey is so important.

Thanks to puke wrecking the place before buggering off, they're having to use the cattle they have, unfortunately.
