The red-hot Brisbane Lions will look to heap more misery on the Adelaide Crows when they face-off at The Gabba. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:05pm (AEST).

After a disappointing loss to Hawthorn in their first match, the Lions have been a lot better since the lockdown break, knocking off Fremantle and West Coast at home. Last week’s win was particularly impressive since it came without skipper Dayne Zorko.

Adelaide, on the other hand, look to be in for a horror year. They were competitive before the bye against Sydney, but have looked like a wooden spoon side in their two heavy losses since. First-year coach Matthew Nicks looks to have his work cut out for him as he looks to change the trajectory of this freefalling club.

The Lions won last year’s thrilling meeting by one point, ending a run of seven consecutive losses to the Crows. If Brisbane win this afternoon, they’ll level their all-time series with Adelaide at 17 wins each.

The dramatic drop was 1st in 2017 to 12th in 2018 - 12th to 18th in 2 seasons isn't as bad in comparison. In saying all of that, we're only a few weeks into the season so far. I'll be interested to see how we go against Freo next week. So far we've had a close loss to Sydney, and lost to the top three, so it might not be as dire as some think.

I've been in a workshop all day. Seriously!!! Brisbane should've banked more more percentage. We've been crap. How many games will we lose; this is not a question. Soon no-one will get a return off betting us on the spoon. ----- How long before Chapman and Fagan walk the plank?

Andrews can handle anyone. But rest of the team need to shut him down somehow. Don’t know if he meant it, but Chris said he doesn’t believe in tagging. We’ll see next week.

Go from no behind in half a footy last night on the Gold Coast to the Lions kicking 23 the next day. So frustrating to watch! Has cost us 2nd spot to the Suns

Common issues for Lions for a long time. Basic kicking skills has been letting us down for a long time. McLuggage and Neale I’ll let off hook, normally very tidy and efficient by foot. Hipwood, McStay and Cameron continually do the same thing over and over again. So frustrating. Why when 15 metres out basically in front would you try and kick around a corner? Kick a drop punt? My 12 year old daughter for gods sake can do that? Why can’t a professional AFL footballer?

No more shots at goal for Neale and mccluggage. They kicked 1 goal 11 between them with two shots out on the full.

Lions should have won this by 100. If they'd kicked straight in the first half I doubt the Crows would have fought back in the third. Impressive how they turned it on in the last to put the match to bed.
