The McKay-off is off at Marvel Stadium as Carlton Blues Coleman Medal leader Harry McKay has been withdrawn from their clash with the North Melbourne Kangaroos and twin brother Ben. Follow along with live scores on The Roar from 1:45pm (AEST).
Taken with high picks in the 2015 draft, the twins had never previously played against one another at the top level, and that trend will unfortunately continue this week. The Blues’ Harry has been ruled out of this clash with a toe injury, in a massive loss for David Teague.
The loss does ensure the 200th game milestone for Blues stalwart Ed Curnow gets the attention it deserves. The Blues have slowly but surely shifted to the next generation under David Teague, with Sam Walsh’s burgeoning star shining brightly in midfield; but Curnow remains as reliable as ever, whether tagging or in a ball-winning role. The Blues will be desperate to mark the occasion with a win that will keep their faint finals hopes alive.
Captain Patrick Cripps is a welcome return after missing the Pies match with injury; while the Roos welcome back their own midfield bulls in Ben Cunnington and Jed Anderson.

Why do you have to make stuff up? You said North wouldn't be easy and I agreed. I was asked Saturday if I was nervous about the game and the answer was yes. Once McKay was ruled out on Thursday night Col said North were now favourites.

It’s a balance isn’t it Macca? I go into points deficit when Pies play Friday or Saturday nights. Lucky we are so bad this year we usually in the Sunday arvo graveyard

Pretty confident that no one played on Larkey.

I warned the Carlton fans on this site that the Roos were no easy beats weeks ago but they pencilled it as a easy one. They were all saying all last week how easy it was going to be to beat north and pass Freo on the ladder.

Because you made an allegation that is completely false. You either need to prove it or retract it.

2 of Cripps 3 goals cam from his time on the ball. And it isn’t just about goals it is entirely about structure, who can you bomb long to and get a contest either inside 50 or coming out of defence. Plus Cripps took 0 contested marks, McKay averages 2.7, McKay averages 3.6 marks inside 50 Cripps took 1. And Cripps may not be small but he is 10cm shorter than McKay. Plus if Mckaywas playing forward Cripps wouldn’t just had “a run on the ball” he would have been doing it all game

Dreaming……Don Freo comment it never happens. Just hope you don’t lose Walsh.

A positive for sure have been new names appearing in our best players. Our depth is improving, we just need to get more of our best on the park and all playing well at the same time.

Cripps is hardly small and he started in McKay’s position and finished with 3 goals so a handy replacement you would think. He did have a run on the ball as well. McKay was no more missed than Tarrant for mine. That is fact not excuse. Freo have been without Hamling and Hill for two years.

Why on earth would i want to spend hours trolling through your comments? If you can't admit to such a trivial comment, and it is trivial, then that's your problem, not mine.

I don’t need to be reinforced, I need you to prove I said it because I certainly didn’t

Go woke go broke.

Goldstein has been on fire for weeks. Good clearance players can read the opposition taps i watched Selwood and Danger read Sandilands like a book for years very smart players can nullify tap outs.

Macca, i’m being edited here which i definitely don’t appreciate from the editors of the Roar. Free speech it seems has become a crime. Good luck to the Blues, a club like every other i have never bagged. And btw, if you need to be reinforced on what you said, then that’s your problem.
Macca

Again it isn’t the quality in dispute here but the position they play and the impact on structure. And as I said if you count Polec I count Murphy.

That’s what you take out of that whole post? He could have played though so he isn’t injured, he wasn’t selected. And I want you to tell me where I allegedly said it because I sure as heck didn’t
HedleyLamarr
Roar Rookie
He was the sub and played less than 15 minutes of footy. And you want me to tell you what you said. Yeah right!

Pies will get the job done. Daicos will join his brother.

Goldstein had a massive mount of hitouts to advantage today, big reason for the win as it allowed North to get on top at the clearnaces

Big Tom was terrific around the ground great future this kid forget the tap outs they usually get sharked anyway. Sandilands used to win about 80 taps a game but averaged one and half marks a game absolutely overrated he was.
