The Dockers’ season has been a miserable one, but in front of their home crowd, they get the chance to take some solace out of 2023 and dent the Power’s premiership chances.
Port, meanwhile, need a win to keep their hopes of a top-two berth alive, and with it a chance to not leave Adelaide Oval before the grand final.

For everyone's unceasing dissing of the Dockers, they've had four Rising Star nominations this year, so some sprouts are visible.

In fact, if you had the skills of Hawthorn, another bottom 4 team, you might just be an average side. Ahhh . . . you can only dream.

Dissapointing not to get a win, but the seasons done so time to move on. Liam Henry has copped it a lot the last couple years, and I hate piling on, but it really seems that he can't kick further than 30-metres. The kick that set up the Banfield bicycle kick was a shot, and it dropped well short from 40 out. On that bicycle kick, maybe I need glasses, but that looked like it hit the defenders arm before it hit Banfield's boot, not the other way round. At best it was inconclusive and the goal should have stood. Another review mistake.

Yep. Skills of a bottom 4 side, Donsy. Which is apt 'cause that's what they'll be after round 24 . . . a bottom 4 side!

Heaven forfend that you might waft faint praise in the direction of those vile premiership robbers from the north who might just be in with a fighting chance.

That was reasonably good win by Port. Happy with four points but they have plenty of work especin the forward line. Todd Marshall cannot kick straight and drops too many marks. While Ollie Lord tries hard, polish is not there.

Pretty average game all round. Happy to bank the points and move on

Really impressive by Port. Clinical professional performance. Going under the radar with all the media obsessed now with Brisbane and Carlton and the Pies “found out”. If the Pies can’t win it, I’ll be hoping the South Australian magpies win the whole thing. Go Port. Great win.
