They'll counter with ones he's got (including ones he didn't deserve) and ones that have been missed against other players. He'd have no chance. And getting some talking head who gets paid to increase viewing figures wouldn't be worth much either. If he's worried (which I haven't heard BTW), his best option is to not play for free kicks in future and change his reputation from someone who intentionally tries to draw free kicks by initiating high contact to being a tough ball winner who doesn't lower his body at the knees as soon as he thinks a tackle is imminent. Should probably stay off the nose candy too :silly:

All he needs to show is video of the multiple occasions he was tackled high with impunity and contrast that too other players who got frees for the same actions. He could also tender expert media commentary about the unique adjudication he was subject to.

He’d have a hard job making a case in court, as he’d have to prove that umpires were consistently not enforcing the rules of the game specifically for him. He might get a whack every now and then but I don’t think you’re finding evidence for that. Umpires are allowed to make a mistake occasionally. If he has made it harder to make a judgement on his body position relative to a tackler through his own well-documented actions that results in the umpires being more likely to make a mistake than otherwise, I can’t see him getting a payout.

The difference in the end...

No one is saying he didn't contribute to the situation early in his career but the targeting is getting dangerous. Jack might consider suing the AFL post his career for failing to provide a safe work environment.

Well we have played Goldcoast & Eagles. Dogs have a terrible record against the Cats but we beat them last round in 23’. Richards back from concussion.Cats will be extremely difficult to beat, they will be firm favourites!

This could be the hardest game to tip next week. Dogs vs Cats. How do you know if Geelong are back when they've played Crows and Hawks.

You ever heard the story of the boy who cried wolf? Try a re-read and then have another think about who is to blame for any problems Ginnevan has in getting free kicks for high contact

Did you like the response to your Freo post?

Ok, I have the handicap of not being in front of a tv

It was glaring, though. If you choose not to give an obvious free simply because of who it would be going to, that umpire must never umpire again. I hope Mitchell asks the question and the AFLPA pays the fine.

Well played to the Hawks, too. Thanks for the call, Stuart.

I thought Jezza was gonna drop the Hawk then.

How often is the first post after a team is well beaten a complaint about umpires?

A whack in the head is a free, even if you are low to the ground. They have lost the plot on the ducking thing. Led to the Goodes injustice and now threatens to make Ginnivan another victim.
