Hawthorn will be out to add a third consecutive upset to their list of scalps when they face the top four-bound Melbourne at the MCG. Join The Roar for live scores from 3:20pm (AEST).

The Demons’ winning streak came to an end last week at the hands of Carlton, and now they must face another in-form team in a major challenge on finals eve.

The Hawks have taken down Collingwood and the Western Bulldogs in recent weeks and are building nicely under Sam Mitchell – victory here would be the sweetest of the bunch.

Poor Essendon supporters. You almost have to feel sorry for the club.

Oh yeah! For sure missed Newcomb, he’s such a workhorse! And we had, I think, four with less than five games including two on debut. But they are shaping really well, not a bad looking young side

Yep! Agree with this. I found Sicily didn’t have the impact he normally has, having said that I thought Melksham came away with some good numbers for a good game. I did like Mitchell moving Sicily up the ground later on there, get him in the game somehow or another

Missing our FF in Lewis and best mid in Newcombe didn't help. Umps far too involved for mine too. Given where the Hawks are in their development, this was a decent performance against a flag fancy.

Just part of the game plan. When you play full on attack you're bound to get hurt on turnovers but the risk is worth the reward. The defensive side will come

Hmmm more costly turnovers for the Hawks and too much messing about in defensive 50
