Western Bulldogs son of a gun Sam Darcy makes his long-awaited debut as they look to keep their finals hopes alive against the travelling Fremantle. Join The Roar for live scores and rolling coverage from 4:35pm (AEST).
At 209.5 centimetres, Darcy will instantly become one of the AFL’s tallest players when he runs out on Marvel Stadium; no doubt the Dogs will be hoping his impressive VFL form holds in a must-win match.
The Dockers have fallen outside the top four in recent weeks, and risk losing touch with a qualifying final berth completely if they can’t return to Perth with the four points.

No, I get the link. I’ll once again reiterate, the stat you referenced is non-discriminatory and does not. Just because someone executes a disposal effectively does not necessarily mean it was a good decision. DE merely represents a simple coefficient that is often used in conjunction with other data to form a deduction. Stalker, no one else is reading this. Stop trying to impress whoever you think is. You’re an 1d10t - we both know it.
Don Freo

So you don't get the link between decision and execution and refuse to just so you can justify your denigration of someone as bright and competent as Darcy as fat and dumb? What a low character.

Finlayson? Best ruck in the league apparently, got him for a cup of tea and some biscuits
Doc Disnick

Nope. I said the stat you referenced doesn’t relate to decision making.

Nup. No knock on Weightman. Ginnivan is just better. Durability and ability are two different conversations
Don Freo
Roar Rookie
So you think footballers' efficiency doesn't involve decisions? Wow!

Apparently you've missed Weightmans season if you think Ginnivan has that and Weightman doesn't. Not only is Weightman a better mark, he hassles and tackles when he doesn't have it, several of his goals have come from holding the ball frees, he's got more dimensions to his game. As for Switkowski, why? Not exactly durable, he keeps getting injured and even in the games he's played he hasn't set the world on fire.

What would a pretend night shift look like compared to a real one on a sports forum? You do realise how st$p1d that reads for an English teacher, right? BTW - Darcy’s 91.7% in his stats relates to disposal efficiency, not decision making. Perhaps get one of your 6 year old students to explain it. You keep living in my shadow, Stalker.
Don Freo

Still shaming players. Darcy's decision making is elite (91% efficiency today). You get so much wrong. I notice your pretend career has never seen you do a pretend night shift during any game of the footy season.

Are you still around? I thought you might have left this site after your 9 year epic feck up with Stevic.

Hard for everyone on Brennan Cox.

What a dill comment. The guy is one of the brightest men in the AFL. No need for him to make up a profession.

You've missed a lot of Ginnivan's season if you think that. His reading of the play, his tackling, his second efforts... I'd take him ahead of Weightman, as they are right now. I'd take Switkowski ahead of both.
Don Freo

Freo will be top 4...at Collingwood's expense. Sydney or Brissy will also miss.

The opposition didn't kick as many. Defence won that, especially in that last quarter. Freo missed 5 dead in front but the defence ensured that wasn't going to bite them.

Freo should win their games

Great game -Freo but all is not lost for the bulldogs. Sam Darcy looked impressive. Jamara is getting better and they have a great midfield, led by a great young ruck. I'd prefer Englist to Jackson. IMO rucks aren't worth $1m per season. Not even Naitanui, Gawn or Grundy.

3 years to go from 13th to finals isn't bad. My point is Collingwood have improved immensely in one year after Buckley left, which creates questions about Buckley's performance. Buckley only improved his ladder position once in his tenure - the year Longmuir was there. Fremantle have improved their ladder position year on year every year that Longmuir has been at the club.

I hope Freo persist with him.
Birdman

Hmmm. Didn’t rip it up but maybe way too early to bin him. Freo probably don’t have too many alternatives
