It’s do-or-die time for the last-place Western Bulldogs, as they look to get their season back on track against the GWS Giants at Marvel Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:50pm (AEST).

It’s been a season to forget so far for the Western Bulldogs, who sit anchored to the bottom of the ladder after two miserable performances. Back in March, they were slaughtered by the Magpies to the tune of 52 points, before putting in another dismal display against the Saints last week. Tipped as a clear-cut finals participator and top-four smokey, the Dogs need to get cracking.

They’ll be up against their arch-rivals in the GWS Giants who, after a solid win over Geelong in Round 1, couldn’t keep up with North Melbourne last week in a shock 20-point loss. While the margin wasn’t reflective of how close the contest was, they were often outmuscled and will need to turn that around for a fixture where high physicality has often been a spectacle.

Last year’s meetings between these sides were almost complete opposites. The Bulldogs crushed the Giants by 61 points in Round 22 but, in an elimination final just three weeks later, GWS got revenge by 58 points at the same venue. The Giants have prevailed in two of the three encounters between these sides at Docklands.

Yes...all good but I do see that as consistently as I do from Fyfe or Neale or Danger. I wouldn't have Dusty in that. Bont is way more consistent than Dusty. I liked how he dealt with the non-football silliness from GWS last night. That kind if stuff does neutralize him, though. It doesn't do that to Fyfe.

Short season and Cameron let them get distracted with biffo costing a win. Poor coaching.

AFL Coaches Player of the Year in 2019 - youd reckon theyd know something about football. Elite for metres gained in 2019 (way ahead of any other midfield player in the league). Unlike other players who break the lines, he does all the hard stuff repeatedly for four quarters all over the ground. And unlike Dusty and Fyfe, he doesn't have other players in the team do his 2 way running for him, i.e. Richmond and Freo both sanction their stars to drift forward and ask a half-forward teammate to do their defensive midfield running for them. Bont does it all. He's only short-coming is inconsistency in front of goal (Not unlike Fyfe and Danger).

If there were 16 players there wouldn't be enough legs to play backcourt basketball!

Another boring game with plenty of errors from both teams. I love AFL but so far the football has been terrible including this game

I enjoyed it. Goal fests are often played with no contest.

Quality content from MMM... tattoos... following a grand final win, Judge was close to getting a barcode tattooed on the back of the neck with the date of the GF. How is this for free?

They’re not my team, but is Leon Cameron the biggest problem? I don’t really understand how they’re trying to win games at the moment.
