The Western Bulldogs need nothing less than a win over the struggling West Coast to keep on track for finals. Join The Roar for live scores from 1:10pm (AEST).
Holding onto eighth despite a narrow loss to Hawthorn last week, even a single loss in their last two will leave the Dogs’ September hopes in jeopardy – and needing to face Geelong in Geelong next week, an upset defeat here would be disastrous.
The Eagles, too, have bigger fish to fry, with a final-round farewell of club stalwarts Luke Shuey and Shannon Hurn – but after a torrid week during which coach Adam Simpson’s future was again thrown into turmoil, they’d love to cause an upset.
Venue: Marvel Stadium, Melbourne

Nah I agree with the first part but not the second. The blues should only get Anzac Day if they agree to give Essendon the equivalent to five pick ones

Your side is an embarrassment. Should take Anzac spot off them immediately & give it to the side who should be playing - CARLTON.

I still think they are damaged from last year.

Sydney dark horse for me .

Diesel, I said elsewhere, Melbourne, Brisbane or Port. Pies are gone. Blues are the dark horse. The three most likely all have flaws. Brisbane get stage fright at the MCG. Melbourne are all over the place with rucks and forwards. Port have stage fright, everywhere. I go Brisbane but with low confidence. If you boys play and beat the Pies, again, you will give us all a laugh. Pretty sure we will all be behind you.

Poor Scott. Bagged for his handbrake but when he finally let them go for it, they snagged a flag. This year was not his fault. The backline was injured then the midfield. Was our ruck against saints a first gamer? Cats late year 2022, later partying left them vulnerable to injury. Either that or old men get injured. 2024 looking more like 2008 than 2012

Need some new blood . How bout Peter Ricardi - I hear he has done amazing things at St Mary’s … slot him next to Scott in the box - or replace Scott

A few midfield injuries got us this year. We will be back next year. Maybe without a few oldies. And maybe Kolonoscopy.

I don’t think any Dr is going to write a letter saying you shouldn’t be drafted by North for the sake of your health.

Probably better. Does he run in the mid. Needs to build a tank if he wants to dominate.

Bulldogs may still yet make it? They thrive on the backs to the wall situation. They could be in an identical situation to last year - watching the last game of the year to learn their fate.

Dogs are so bad. Couldn’t of made it happen. They tanked their list. Had good mids with no forwards. Now have forwards with a fading midfield. Never had a defence. Eagles would never.

Simmo deserved a win. The WA boy will end up better anyway.
