Are these six AFL teams already out of finals contention?

By The Roar / Editor

Craig Hutichison has gone out on a limb in ruling out these teams. Has he gone the early crow given what happened to Richmond last year?

I take your point about Geelong on the bigger grounds. Although I am not a Geelong fan & Hawthorn didn't play their best footy that night, the best half of footy I have seen this year was Geelong kicking 10.2 in the 2nd half against the Hawks in round 2. Geelong have been pressuring the AFL to play on smaller ground of GMHBA Stadium for years so I suppose they are owed something. But as everyone knows, premierships aren't won on small grounds.

Yeah think Geelong will play better on the smaller ground up in Sydney than most other sides and I'm sure they pressured the AFL to have those games their, lets see what happens when they go west, but you are 100% right we still have some water to flow under the bridge.

What's your thoughts on your post after last night's result? Too early to be making legitimate predictions. A lot of water is going to flow under the bridge before we get some real clarity.

lighten up mate, ITS A JOKE, take it as one. And how is it poor timing we are locked down for the next 6 weeks starting now and most likely longer than the 6 weeks, at least let some of us get a laugh now......I know in 6 weeks I won't be laughing

Cracka, I do agree in part with what you’re saying, where I revert back to my original point, the selfish and careless acts of a small portion of the population of Victoria are the cause of this second wave, we’ll in my opinion anyway. I believe the majority of the Victorian population are at least trying their best to do the right thing, certainly myself included! Nothing personal mate, I just believe comments like that, joke or not are in poor taste along with pretty poor timing!

GWS was even worse than Melbourne back then, remember.

Nope. Im an eagles supporter actually, but the state of the crows just looks so bad, almost like Melbourne back in the early 2010s.

I live in the Greater State of Vic, so relax its a joke, but lets be honest, have you seen anyone social distancing in any shopping centers? and what about the security guards sharing smokes and the bed of infected travelers? or taking those in quarantine out on shopping trips? mate its pretty simple the Dan Government has done a great job, the issue is the private companies being paid huge amounts of cash, to do a job and failing the whole state by employing people that just don’t give a stuff. Dave you need to lighten up a little we don’t have to be offended by every joke or comment, no matter how true or not true.

With that kind of positivity you must be a Melbourne supporter.

They were very unconvincing against pretty much every team last year, they still got to a 15-7 record. This is a team that has a tendency to win many games in a season unconvincingly. I mean, even on the day they won the premiership, they still let themselves go five goals down and were at times outplayed by the pies. To be honest, while I don't think the eagles will really be premiership contenders, they should be able to still make a run into the top 4.

Joke or no joke, those comments are bit on the offensive side! I’m a proud Victorian thru and thru! It’s the selfishness and carelessness of a few that have caused this problem to reoccur, where the majority of Victorians are and have always been doing the right thing and following government guidelines! Bit of a dumb post to be honest!

Roll on 2028. Don’t expect the crows to play finals until then.

I tend to think Richmond are going to find awfully hard to win it from here. Injuries, HUB life etc. They aren't likely to be playing in Melbourne in the next month. They can't afford to drop too many more. Adelaide, absolutely put a line through them. They are done. North will struggle from here, while Freo and Carlton are treading water at the moment.

Last week they were unconvincing against a very understrength Sydney. Talk of a possible Perth GF may lift their spirits but they really can't afford too many more losses. They will need to win 3 of their next 4 to just get ahead of the ledger and they have Adelaide and Freo then probably Collingwood and Geelong.

GWS and Brisbane, Grand final played in Sydney, Victoria still in lock down as they the people in Vic are stupid and can’t keep 2 metres apart and more than 70% of the dropkicks are infected. the next episode of Border Force will show Victorians trying to be smuggle to freedom, already the NSW government has contacted Donald Trump about building a wall to keep those virus diseased, filthy Victorian Mexicans out of the great and safe state of NSW. lol, just a joke relax, smile life could be worst……you could be in lockdown for the next 6 weeks.
