If the proof is in the pudding and the niggle goes to far into the damage territory then the player might be better off spending at least equal time on the sidelines as the injured party. Should make them think about how hard to hurt rather. Only if it’s a body attack though.
But it isn’t perfectly legal to simply run through someone who is trying to mark and vulnerable.
Dog act might be going a bit far but it deserves weeks.
And you missed the Plowman, suspension, trip to the tribunal and subsequent appeal? Do you follow football?
I don't know what you're referencing, but this was just a bump and would've been perfectly legal in another context. It's a free kick and that's about it. "Dog act" is just a comment to stir the pot.
Plowman had calls for him to get 4 weeks, people saying this was exactly what we need to get out of the game when he arrived 0.08 seconds after the ball and was legitimately attempting to spoil but got penalised by "electing" to protect himself, Treacy realised well back he wasn't going to make the marking contest so "elected" to bump and make his opponent earn it. Should get weeks, especialy as the whiplash he caused is a massive factor in concussion
If it does hurt when he laughs, it might be hurting for a few days - 69 point thrashing of a fellow finals contender on their home deck!
Cats looking good.
In all honesty if Plowman got 2 weeks for his contact with O'Meara this one needs to get the same, yes the injury was less but the intent was far higher.

A dog act. He'll get off, but he probably should get a week.

Two wrongs don't make a right. Plowman's shouldn't have been a free kick (let alone 2 weeks). This was a free kick but nothing more.

Borderline perfect niggle. The proof being the non injury. Maybe ask Bews if it hurts when he laughs.
