Not at all.
I wasn't saying all week that Geelong would go out in straight sets.
I thought it was a 50/50 game with West Coast having to fly 4000 km even before the Rioli distraction.
1st against 5th.
Richmond will win next week.
I think all it proves is that finals football is a very different beast to home and away football
Other sides can go to a new gear come finals. Geelong have already been at top gear throughout most of the regular season because they're driven and professional like that, but can't go with other sides when they step it up.
They're showing themselves to be fantastic long distance runners, able to set the pace for 23 weeks, but when it comes to a 100 minute sprint, all or nothing - they lack the explosiveness to keep up.
Yep. A fear of failure leads to . . . failure. Look at the other coaches left in the finals. All emit a positive 'vibe'. Not Chris. He's both negative and abrasive.
I don't really care one way or another about Geelong.
It's not so much wanting him to fail, but for some reason people like to dance around this issue and refuse to acknowledge the facts.
Chris Scott is a serial finals choker.
To win 3 out of 13 finals in the past 8 seasons is completely unacceptable. If he goes out in straight sets this week he should be sacked on the spot.
He has the talent at his disposal to win premierships given how well they perform in the H&A, but he bottles it come September.
Back in June he was already trying to create an alibi for a poor September. Caused his side to lose focus and underperform in the second half of the season. Made some shocking selections and choices going into last week's final. This is all on Scott.
People seem afraid to highlight that Chris Scott hasn't been cut out for finals football for the past 8 seasons.
I hear it all the time. The vision tends to show him alone in the coaching box either making all the decisions or not making decisions when he should be. Surely this is not the case but Geelong does seem to have these "supporters" who have it in for him. I do think Scott should stop talking about the "home" games they should have, that is not constructive in preparing for home state final games.

That would have been a victory last night that would have made you sad. All the teams are hopeless, no team can win the premiership!

Another truthful post you mean. 3 wins out of 13 finals in 8 seasons says it all. It's about arriving at the correct conclusion, not slapping backs.

Another positive and constructive post. I wouldn't want to live in your world.

I expect that, if Geelong bow out this weekend, we'll be hearing from Alphingtonion. Absent all season.

There was a cat coach called Chris A September he would rarely miss. All so well prepared. But still they got scared. Instead of a scratch and a hiss.
