Yeah some players shove and shove and really they are sitting ducks. It's only a matter of time till someone takes advantage. Usually just when you don't want it. And are not expecting it.

I don't like the staging but the moment you put hands on someone outside of a tackle, you have lost control of the situation and give the other player the chance to react, and the umpire the chance to make a decision.

Ah, no. You don't "respond", you spend your whole time here picking fights. You have serious issue, man! You really should listen to WCE. Like I said, don't "talk" to me or I'll report you for harassment. Bye.

Legally you are allowed to exaggerate for a free kick. As long as it's not excessive and even then it's far from definite you'll be called out. So if you shove and he flops and he wins the call don't get mad. People hate it because they think it's cheating but it's not. If you shove to gain some precious seconds then what do you call that? It's the only play the one who is shoved has without falling victim that shove. These ugly little dramas can spoil a good game when they influence the result. That's because the stakes are so high with four points on the line. It's war. You can spend months and years administering an effective defensive game plan only to have it all come undone with a couple of clever bluffs by smarter players that can read your moves.

Hot topic and it's not going away. Legally you can exaggerate for a free. If it's excessive you might get called out but that's far from definite. If you shove and he flops and you lose don't blame him and don't lose your sh%$# and make it worse. It's called gamesmanship and it's pretty clever. People hate it because they think it's cheating. So shoving to gain precious seconds is not cheating? Come on..... As long as win/loss is the barometer of success these petty dramas will get overblown because the stakes are so high. You labour for months and years to administer an effective defensive game plan. You succeed to a point and are in the fight of your life. It comes undone by one or two smart bluffs from the opposition and it all goes down the drain. That's the gamble of the four point system. High drama that can turn on a whim despite all your expertise. Don't get me wrong I love the drama of the close finishes and the high stakes. But more and more I am barracking for the stronger team because it's the best chance for open play and lots of goals.

Well all good I guess if it was we've just watched Richmond on how to turn a game lol either way only a few on a small footy forum think so from what I've seen so it was a fifty if it wasn't we realise there'd be 100 articles about same as if it involved Rance or Grimes, ppl who support consistently lower sides complain alot be a Richmond supporter realist don't be dragged down.

Yep riddled with name calling if these cause upset you never played country footy nor attended vfl matches so just hate me like you do Toby with zero rationale, anyways bruv my life’s good you sound like you need fulfillment see I’m going to enjoy pizza and cocktails with my wife a few friends and all the kids won’t be a late one but maybe consider stretching beyond online to some real relationship not the validity of likes ???? you used to dob on your siblings heaps didn’t you because that’s thats the vibe and I suspect older child cause you’ve got on big chip that needs to control going on. Why do you try to get reactions whilst at work wasting five minutes? It’s outrageously odd but hey you’ve got a wce supporter on your side woohoo

That's a bout as big a Flop (x2) as you'll ever see on footy field! Could be a staging fine on the way I'm afraid.

Spot on WCE. The wilful blindness of some is really tiring. Blind freddy can see that Schofield tripped over his own feet doing his best impersonation of an Italian soccer player which is what upset the North player (and led to the subsequent 50m penalty). Some seem unwilling to give an inch when it's their team, and when they don't have an argument they resort to name-calling.
