The AFL marketing boffins entertain a certain belief that they have to bend and twist things. Crowd Numbers (2000 counted) at GWS v Dogs turned up as 10,000. This issue which is purely for the headline outrage with little at stake so no can lose. The rules of the game are confusing to everyone deliberately to occupy minds. The fixture was a foxture but now is a Tigerfest. The reason they cannot play a straight game is they believe it will cost them money, simple as that. The thing is they might make more, a lot more, but they'll never know. Frankly they stink. Don't change the Gil just weed out the stinky moneygrubbers.

Varcoe had a multi on last night, hence kicking back from the goal square. Hope he collected.

Maxine, True Tiger Fan and I stoushed all last season right through to the preliminary. I predicted all last year the tigers streak may end in a cut throat final and in the end the Pies delivered the cut. He’s ok. Macca is a one eyed blues fan who I enjoy engaging with, even though he still thinks Bolts can coach better than Fagan.

Ahh yes, of course claiming people who support a club lack the ability for impartial reasoning and can only form an opinion based on who they support isn't a criticism. A Please feel free to name the dozen rulings more important than maintaining the integrity of the sport and ensuring players take gambling on games and outcomes they can control seriously.

Ahh yes, move on, nothing to see here, just Ed using his power to get Collingwood favourable treatment, dictate the length of the penalty and then alter the penalty when it doesn't suit, why would anyone have an issue with that?

Move on Macca. Ed simply has way more power than your faceless bloke at the blues who spends most of the season in hiding .

Please forgive me if I'm wrong, but my memory tells me that in 1977 Phil Carman appealed a two match suspension on the grounds that it did not include two Grand Finals as there was a Grand final draw that year.Unfortunately for him the suspension was upheld. It seems to me he was hard done by ,going by what you can get away with to-day.

I didn't really criticise anyone, just made a general comment and then clearly stated it is was it is. I could easily think of a dozen AFL rulings to be more concerned about than this regarding what's fair and unfair. People only care about their club, their opinions are clearly based around this.

Betting in a game you're involved in any form is wrong. Influencing a game you are involved with is wrong. Same could be said when a club deliberately loses games for higher draft picks. In finality, the punishment should fit the crime.

Betting against your team is bad because you could influence the outcome? Betting on goals scored or possessions gathered isn't something you could influence the outcome of?
