the first bounce i see the ball is either going straight up or back toward the field if anything. I don't see any bounce halfway back and then a second bounce in the back row. it's 80 metres.
if you've got a good picture tell me what chair it hits. I'll study it.
well I'd like to get the ruler out.
I see the guy in the back row flinch which is about ten rows back so is that 15 metres form the fence? 2 for the boundary plus 50 plus 10 ( 5 x 2 metre shadows to inside the square) = 77. That's not allowing for another metre or so if it went all the way to the ground. I'd exaggerate it up to 80 just to round up.
Nah..still 70-75.
Look at the video...the ball hit the 8th-9th row of chairs and took a generous bounce.
Massive kick, but not in the 80 range.
TV pundits like to over estimate. I.e Gary Ablett Jnr kicking a ball "from 80 metres" in the 2009 GF to the goal square. Was actually about 60-65 out.
What a bomb. Imagine if that sailed through.
there's a market right now for blokes who can kick that long, they could set up just on the nimbin side of the border and boot packages into qld over the border

Again... The ball bounced to the back row. I'll happily argue the metres here and there, but look at the video first

It's 85 metres if you count it up. 10 to the fifty 20 for the seating and boundary and any other bits over the seats. Minimum 80

where do you reckon it landed?

Closer to 70.

That's 75 - 85 meters gained off one step. Is there a place in the game for this?
