Collingwood fans have started a petition to reverse the result of the GF

By The Roar / Editor

Collingwood fans have called for a review into the umpiring in the AFL Grand Final and are asking members to sign a petition in an effort to reverse the result of the Grand Final.

It comes after this controversial moment when Dom Sheed emerged as the hero for the West Coast Eagles, scoring the late match-winner to topple the Collingwood Magpies.

Actually IMO I believe it was the right non-call. Maynard was not blocked, he was actually between Rioli and Sheed, or at least slightly in front of but to the side of Rioli. It looks as if Maynard initiated contact with Rioli in the first instance. All Rioli did was push Maynard in the chest when the ball was within 5 metres. And as Maynard was not in the act of marking it was legal under the rules of the game, IMO of course.

Insane, controversial? The umpire's let these go all day but just because it happened with 2 minutes to go it becomes controversial? Re-watch the game and comment on all the "controversial" decisions because there is 120 minutes that decides a game not just the last 2.

I tipped them the last two weeks and didn't stick my neck out this week because I didn't know who would win.

No, I had them in the 8 from early in the season. I said they'd win 8 or 9 at home and that's what they did.

Sure Anon, seen you pro Eagles views all season. It was at best arguable. Didn't you say Eagles wouldn't make the 8?
