Australia will be looking to make it back-to-back wins against arch rivals England when they lock horns at Old Trafford for the second ODI of the series. Join The Roar for live scores from 10pm (AEST).
The Aussies’ 19-run win in Game 1 of the series was just their third in their past 13 ODIs against the old enemy – a run that included a thumping defeat in last year’s World Cup semi-final.
Stars of the show were two players who didn’t even feature in the squad for that tournament: Mitchell Marsh produced a match-turning 73 with the bat before Josh Hazlewood’s miserly 3/26 ripped the heart out of England’s destructive top order, while Glenn Maxwell shored up his spot in the middle order with a damaging 59-ball 77.
After losing the T20 series 2-1, a victory here would clinch the series for Australia, and ensure they don’t leave their first overseas trip since the COVID-19 pandemic empty-handed.
First ball: 10pm (AEST)

At 8-149 I thought that was game over. How on earth did Eng do that? Credit to them and shame on the Aus batting line-up. Poor old bowlers who had put in a fantastic effort and then still lost out Surely Warner had already done enough to have his card stamped 'Not fit for use in England'. Maxwell contributing nothing. Do we really need Stoinis and Marsh ? Desperately seeking batsmen

This series has made a fool of my judgement at least 5 times in two matches ...

Very irresponsible batting from Cummins and Starc. Both should be dropped for the final odi.

I've seen some collapses but this is next level...

They only bowl short and quick. Cummins has been very average in this series. Starc has been poor as well and didn't look like he was going to take a wicket.

This is atrocious batting, I know Maxwell did some good work in the previous game but he was backing up so far, a straight one was just begging to clatter him.

Well that went pear shaped quickly. Damn it labs, don’t go out there, we were bound to collapse, it’s like this team was built for it. To be fair I thought labs looked brilliant until that point, but very poor time to lose the wicket. Though why we have to suddenly collapse now is hard to fathom. But you do you Australia.

England's 9th. wicket partnership of 76 runs could be decisive at the end.
