There's disappointment, then there is arrogant entitlement.
Marnus is squarely in the latter camp.
He's got a pattern of showing absolute disdain at umpires and the opposition when dismissed.
Respect isn't hard.
I've no issues with him turning his back but the carry-on after that was really poor, especially from a Test player .
It's always amusing to watch batsmen faces, who get out after chatting up the umpire. They think they're the umps number one best friend and are horrified when they see the finger being raised.
I think he’s tried the tactic of turning his back on the umpire to try and fool the umpire into thinking it’s a frivolous appeal and just like chatting up the umpire while at the non-striker’s end and being the umpire’s best mate, the batsmen that try these these kind of ruses are often the ones who cope least well with actually being given out.
Me too. He has been warned repeatedly but no change in behaviour. I wonder if the citings he gets go on the code of conduct? He must be racking up a few infringements so would want to be careful he doesn’t get a short holiday. Showing dissent, slow to leave the field, excessive celebration.
Unless he got an inside edge, that looked out. Even still, the carry on afterwsrds was completely unnecessary. He needs o grow up and worry about what he can control, eg not hitting across the line to stright deliveries
These regular displays of dissent by Marnus are starting to grind my gears. While there's a lot to like about his game, I wish he would just hide his disappointment a bit better. Who knows, maybe he was upset with himself? But it doesn't detract from my point.

Agreed. The "how could I possibly be dismissed" nonsense he is pulling is wearing thin.

100% spot on. He's coming across as a remarkably entitled snot. He's starting to make Matt Hayden look humble.

Yep. The look like they feel like it is the worst kind of betrayal imaginable.

I thought it hit both of his legs?

On that coverage, what did he do remotely wrong? Are you supposed to be happy to be out?

Missing leg, but bad reaction. Accept the ump's decision. Things even out over a career.

The little guy is a few roos short in the top paddock. Lets hope he cops a suspension at some stage so we are spared his pathetic sportsmanship.
