Round 6 continues tonight when the Melbourne Storm host the Sydney Roosters at AAMI Park. Join The Roar for live scores and commentary from 7:55pm (AEST).

In a year when blow outs are far too common, we can get excited about this clash of the heavyweights. Both clubs have already taken their standard spot in the top eight and get the chance to jump a few spots tonight.

After a relatively slow start to the season, the Storm seemed to have found their groove in the last couple of weeks, albeit against weaker opposition.

However, Craig Bellamy would not have been happy about the Bulldogs scoring three tries last weekend, so we can expect a determined defensive effort against the Roosters.

We know Melbourne have a big forward pack but Harry Grant adds a new dimension to the Storm’s attack. Ryan Papenhuyzen is also one of the form players in the NRL right now and will be looking for opportunities all night long.

Craig Bellamy has named the same 17 players that won last weekend. Nelson Asofa-Solomona has been named at lock with Tui Kamikamica on the bench but they may swap spots as per last week.

Despite the retirement of Jake Friend and the long-term injury to Luke Keary, the Roosters keep finding ways to win. They got out of jail last weekend against the Sharks but had all the momentum when it really mattered.

Sam Walker has definitely lived up to the hype with a number of big plays against Cronulla. Any side with James Tedesco remains a potent attacking threat.

Ben Marschke was successful at the judiciary on Tuesday night and will play hooker in place of the injured Freddy Lussick. Lindsay Collins returns from a head knock and Adam Keighran gets a start on the interchange bench.

Prediction
The Sharks ran a lot of attack at Sam Walker last Saturday night and it almost paid off.

The Storm will likely do the same and they have the ability to keep that pressure up for longer.

Melbourne Storm by 10.

No worries bring it on! The Roosters were pretty poor overall and a guy like Grant yes he is good but it was against a team that was pretty ordinary which defended well but had absolutely no attack, he only made his impact in the 2nd half when the Roosters were gone, lets see how Grant goes as he is definitely not the next coming of Jesus Christ.

Souths might have something to say about that – but appears to be a gap developing between Panthers, Storm and Souths and the next three – Raiders, Roosters and Eels The Storm spine is looking very good – Storm recruitment staff need to be given kudos for picking up Paps and Harry Grant – has set the Storm up for another potential decade of dominance. Bellamy would be crazy to go anywhere else.

Yeah and to a degree if the Bronco get a bit of luck they beat them without Staggs, Farnsworth but I wouldn’t class the two players out in the category of Cleary, Laui, Yeo and To’o. Just like I wouldn’t class Dale and Brendon. Storm lose 2 or 3 of Munster, Grant, Papenhuyzen like the Cowboys struggled to get Morgan, Taumalolo, Holmes on the field together and your team goes from good to rubbish and people start bagging your club relentlessly. Knights need their good ones on the park fit and firing. Broncos get their best team together for a month and they’ll be incredibly hard to beat IMO.

Kafusi and Kikau get off and Radley gets ten . I know which biaatch slap I would have preferred to be on the end of . The new NRL advertising pitch . “If you love inconsistency, you’ll love the NRL “

Disagree, Nat. He only really plays well occasionally & he fired up at the slightest provocation. When he's on there's none better; much to inconsistent.

Finucane...Brenko is actually ok but he's playing QCup to get his fitness back. The way Jennings is going I don't know if they can drop him though.

Those stupid kicks on the third tackle pi--ed me off tonight. I wanted to see 26-0, not 20-4.

I agree. Sometimes I think I am in a parallel universe. Push downs, twists , walking off the mark, and Nada. If I watched that again I would find another dozen. 6 in total. Only ONE in the whole second half . Melbourne were perfect in the tackle in the second half.? Where is the worm hole, let me out.!
