It’ll be an emotional farewell as Wests Tigers farewell Benji Marshall against the Parramatta Eels at Bankwest Stadium. Join The Roar for live scores from 7:35pm (AEST).

It’s been another middling year for the Tigers, extending their finals drought to a club-record nine seasons. After moving to 5-5 midway through the year, Wests have gone 2-7 since and lost four of their past five. The main event tonight, however, will be the farewell of club legend Benji Marshall.

Parramatta may be headed to finals, but they’ve hardly set the world on fire over the last six weeks – alternating wins and losses and putting in particularly poor performances against South Sydney and Penrith. They need a win tonight to wrap-up a top four spot and could fall out if they lose.

The Eels have won four straight against the Tigers, including a 26-16 victory in Round 11 this year, and eight of the last ten overall.

No wonder we're (the sport) short of quality NRL coaches. We've had a lengthy flatish period, for about half the season where we've been like a marginal top 8 side (still won the majority of these games). BA's been pretty tough on the boys for most/all of that period, but it has also had some positives, like staying in/winning most of these games. I think BA is showing some support, some encouragement in the lead up to what will undoubtably be a tough game next week. P.S, with regards to many of the comments below, I don't think the Storm will have it all their way, and we could be getting a week off. I'm not expecting it (the week off) but I think we're a reasonable chance.

Ricky can leave his B team in again for next week. Sharks are hopeless.

Arthur needs to go. If he’s happy with this performance; he needs to go.

Came down to conversions. At least it not as bad as losing when you score more tries.

That’s what happens when you rack up the wins in the first half of the season... there’s more to the comp than the last 4 weeks.

No you see it’s the same rule they applied to Sharks game (lose carry). Oh sugar that was a different call whoops. Sharks were behind and needed the ball sorry.

Your boys will be there at the death. The other side of the draw is now distinctly more difficult and physical.

Laughing their way to a premiership perhaps, I’d have the Storm as favourites now

Yep. After they deal with Parra they get what's left of the Canberra v chook/Penrith bash up. mind you, the conspiracy theorists will say all this is so Roosters don't face Storm until the GF

Bad luckTigers. Loved watching Benji play over his career. The best attacking player of his generation IMHO. What a player. Chris Lawrence a good honest footballer like Cooper should never be underestimated. I think the Tigers win if sin bin was correctly used. Douhi didn’t deserve a penalty let alone a sin bin. Benji was hurt in a illegal hit not in possession and no sin bin? Oh well they have given the Eels every opportunity to win a premiership this year. I think they might need to improve a bit more starting next week. Good luck it’s harder when everyone is watching the officials.
