5 weeks for two incidents that went on report in that earlier match. Small fine for this one. We’re all humans. I’m ok with them not getting everything right. But the contrast was embarrassingly wrong.

You would not know what happened between Gold Coast match and this one. Maybe Maxwell rang the ref and said get tough. The consistency is an utter joke and that's what the fans are upset about. I look forward to what Annesley has to say on Monday.

certainly seems that way. It doesn't matter whether this was shown at normal speed or slow motion, I can't see how Heatherington's actions or non-actions warranted a send off.

Referee’s Rule Book: If you’re name is “Heatherington”, then it’s an automatic send off.

There are falling tackles where the defender launches himself at the ball carrier and I have limited sympathy when they go wrong… particularly after the ball has been passed But this wasn’t one of those. Hetherington was bracing himself to make a standard tackle, he wasn’t recklessly launching himself at CHN. Not sure there was much he could have changed to avoid it Trying to avoid ref bashing but it’s pretty hard when you compare the tackles and the punishment for this tackle compared to Proctor’s Refs will always make mistakes but it just seems like the frame work for their decision making is all over the place

Too harsh for someone who was clipped. Corey's head had not dropped much after the clip so the accidental component was not a factor BUT it was not forceful.
