Yep - I don't think Gallen really got it - all Brown was doing was asking whether he thought Gallen had seen an improvement in the Knights forward pack and instead he saw it as an attack against him. Pretty simple really.

Just another opportunity for the publicity seeking Nathan Brown to con the fans and his club administrators that he can coach. One win and he's blowing his horn. There's a long season ahead and I'm not convinced the Knights will deliver. On paper the Knights look good and should be a force to be reckoned with this season. The only big negative is they still have an inferior coach. Good coaches aren't made to sign performance based contracts. good coaches tell the club where to shove it and easily walk into something better. I don't like Gallen at all but I'm convinced this is just another Nathan Brown publicity opportunity to big note himself.

Exactly. That is why I can’t stand the Rabbitohs. People never understood the irony of all the complaining when Souths were booted from the comp in the 90’s, but you can be sure there were no Glebe fans “marching”...

Poor form from Gallen, the then NSW captain, to be bagging the credentials of another club, particularly when they were in a bad way and struggling to attract strong talent. Brownie has copped some back handed comments from Bennett as well - I love the way he remembers and brings it up when the time is right!

Bit of a beat up Browns comments were (on the surface at least) really respectful. He said that most people thought that about the Knights but Gallen had the guts to say it. He then just asked “wonder what his opinion is now?” As barbs go this was the mildest of the mild. But Gallen wasn’t filthy about it and his rebuke to Brown was pretty gentle too.

It was a dark day when the dastardly Rabbitohs plotted and schemed to have Glebe removed from the competition. Frank Burge was the second best player I've seen play. He was pipped by Dally Messenger who was a joy to watch.

So you are 95+ years old are you BA? The Glebe Dirty Reds last played in 1929 so you would have been 4 or 5 when you started following them. But then you did say that you were hoping you would remain impartial in your posts once your team has played this year, so? I hadn't heard that Glebe were going to rejoin the competition AFTER the 2019 season has already started and after an 89 year absence from the game. You must be beside yourself "shadow". LOL

OK, I give in. I am a Dirty Reds man. Ever since I saw Frank Burge play. What a champ - 8 tries in a game - as a prop! Scored 4 tries or more in a game 7 times. You know only Melbourne, Brisbane, Saints and Manly have a better winning record than us?! We had the bye in week 1 but we are confident this year we will go one better than last year and make grand final day in the Ron Massey Cup- and who knows, a premiership may finally be calling!

This reminds me of Gallen in 2015 coming into the Semi against the Cowboys saying how superior the Sharks pack was. The Cowboys handed him an absolute flogging.

Agreed. Brown explained it well on NRL360. Gallen said a few years ago something to the effect the Knights had a reserve grade pack. Brown said Gallen was correct at the time and that many teams were thinking the same but only Gallen was upfront and actually said it out loud. Seems fair to me that Brown also wants an evaluation of his current pack from Gallen.

This seems to be a common trend with Brown, last year and the year before it was his battle of words with Bennett this time it's him vs Gallen.

How hard is it for YOU to admit which team you support? Actually, THAT would be far easier "shadow".

One of the biggest whingers in the game gets all pouty when his previously rude comments get throw back in his face with some serious interest. LOL! LOVED watching that last chance bounce off his chest! ;)

Gallen, well, what can you say?? He says Brown shouldn\'t have brought his name into it but Gallen has kept it rolling. Something makes me think Gallen is building his post footy career as a \"straight shooting\" media type.
