Massive admiration for Slips...great custodian former captain but he is real hit and miss nowadays scrummaging,that's not acceptable in top grade footy.

But still so error prone. With his experience and everyone claiming he should be Wallaby 15, I expect more. In my view, he is simply just not consistent enough. If he played for the Force he wouldn't be part of the conversation.

Hika, I agree that Brums are the most cynical Oz team, historically. But I would argue that there’s a couple of other teams in the Super comp that have been emulating the Saders ‘dare you to bin us ref’ tactic this year.

Fair enough, although injuries are something every team is dealing with. The Drua have some out too. I get that you might start Swain over Hooper but I reckon it worked in favour of the Brumbies having Swain going full throttle towards the end when Frost was under some fatigue. Anyhow. A sound enough win to the Brumbies despite the Drua bringing plenty heat. A good end to a good round of SRP. :thumbup:

To be clear... none of his talent benefited from my coaching at u10s... despite being nominally "head coach" by virtue of being on staff at MCC, I sorted the backs out. Liam played hooker and flanker. Yes he did throw well... in fact, I don't think we lost a lineout with him throwing?

He threw well CM. I thought Ryan took that ball off him too early as it started to peel off to the left near the goal line. It was that line out at the end in the right hand corner.

I disagree that it’s unacceptable to be outscrummed by the Drua. They’re an impressive team who are only getting better. We can’t diminish their effort, growth and quality in this area. That’s not fair or right. Otherwise… I agree with you. Giving them the ball is like kicking yourself in the bollocks.

I suspect that L.Ikitau either questioned or commented on the madness of some of Fast Eddie's ever-changing tactics. As it was, even though Ikitau was bitterly disappointed, he avoided the madness of the WB train wreck in France.

Bit of a weird ending, the Brumbies didn't want to try to run 50-60 metres for the bonus point so kicked it out to guarantee the 4 points for the win. Crowd looked pretty poor tonight but I honestly cannot figure why the Brumbies don't get more Saturday or Sunday afternoon games. A sunny or even cloudy Canberra afternoon is a far nicer experience than freezing one's butt off on a cold winter night. Sadly the TV moguls don't give a rats about crowd attendance and the club's earning, all they want are viewer numbers. :unhappy:
