The All Blacks may have returned to their winning ways in South Africa, but nothing short of a comfortable pair of wins over Argentina on home soil will have Ian Foster sitting more comfortably at the helm. Join The Roar for live scores from 5:45pm (AEST).

The All Blacks’ gutsy win over the Springboks in Johannesburg lifted some of the pressure off the under-fire team and coach, and with four matches to come against the Pumas and Wallabies, are a strong chance to bounce back and lift yet another Rugby Championship title.

The injured Beauden Barrett is the only change to the side that took down the reigning world champions, allowing Foster a settled team to tackle the rest of the tournament.

Los Pumas have begun life under Michael Cheika in style with a series win over Scotland and a storming triumph over the Wallabies, but facing a series of games on the road, things are about to get a whole lot tougher.

Argentina have won just once over the All Blacks in their history – a 25-15 triumph in Sydney in late 2020 – and a victory in Christchurch would probably be this nation’s greatest ever.

Yep because nz fans and commentators not use to All Black losses leads to over reaction. As sides they are losing to are playing top quality rugby any of the top world sides would struggle against. They are not being beaten by mediocre teams…

Knee jerk reactions would be silly on foster. As another reporter stated make a decision on foster at either the end of the rugby championship, end of the northern tour or end of RWC 23.

No disrespect at all. The Abs went in as favourites. That was reality. Arg won so therefore it was an upset result. Nothing more nothing less. What do you call something that has never happened before and wasnt expected to happen this time?

You are unloading a lot of frustrations..years of frustration I’m guessing your a Wallabies fan. So I get your having a plug, decades of loses to the ABs will do that. I’m not going to bother explaining how an All Black fan feels to a Wallabies supporter.. mate you just don’t get it. What’s wrong with setting high standards?? Why not be the best you can be. If we settle for average, than we’ll become average. It’s that standard that sets champion teams apart from mediocre ones. If we just start accepting losing 6 games from 8.. Where does it end? Ranked 10-12th! Drop down to 2nd tier? Set the standards high, maintain them as best as we can. That’s all we ask. Expectations are brutal, that’s part of the game, can handle it.. then move aside. That’s professional sport

You said it: that standard. An unbelievably high standard put on them. An expectation to win absolutely all of the time. And then you Class it as a shocker. Why a shocker? Again, are they never allowed to lose at home, ever? That’s the problem with NZ rugby. Fans and media alike put way too much pressure on their team to win at all cost absolutely all of the time, and any loss is termed ‘a shocker’, ’embarrassment’, or ‘a shock loss’. Haha geez, their only players. Now the pressure is on, the feedback and expectations are brutal. This is the problem with having relied on being complete and utterly successful absolutely all of the time. Now a few losses and no one can handle it without calling it a shocker…every team is allowed to lose at home. Yes, even the precious All Blacks haha

Look at the All Blacks history. The ABs very rarely lose at home.. so by that standard it is a shocker! The Pumas have only beaten the ABs once before in history. Nothing to do with arrogance or whatever agenda.. The Irish had never beaten them in NZ before this year. Not many sides ever have.

Exactly. Insulting by the NZ media and fans to label it an upset. Again, are the All Blacks not allowed to lose, at home, to the Pumas, ever? Instead of admitting defeat, no, they soften the loss by labelling it 'an upset'

They were feared? Uh perhaps that's the problem with NZ rugby: they stood behind this aura of invincibility and sitting a top a lofty pedestal of hype, and now it's exposed that simply can't hack it. The only fear is kiwi pride ATM haha it's tainted big time

Well said Amigo! I'm a Wallabies fan and can cop a good loss if the match was decent. Kiwis like Jokerman are losing their minds and are clearly frustrated at the All Blacks 'choking' when yes, my friend, they were clearly beaten by the better team. Vivo Los Pumas. But you must understand that as a kiwi, you're never allowed to accept the All Blacks lost to the better team. No, best to say they had a bad day and choked, never actual commend the Pumas! And if they lose to the Wallabies....Jokerman will have a stroke!

The ref was perfect. All Blacks are simply struggling to shrug their reliance on deliberate illdiscipline when under the pump. They'll never learn. Lerhaps they're hoping to relieve the golden days of getting away with it

But, hang on, didn't Schmit coach Ireland? You'd think he would have provided more insight into how to counter them? Aren't all International Kiwi coaches awesome?
